Since breaking into the first team at Schalke, Goretzka has impressed critics and fans alike with his performances.

In 129 appearances for the German side, the 22-year-old has managed to bag 19 goals and 13 assists, a decent record considering the player’s young age.

So far this campaign, Goretzka has got off to a flying start, as the midfielder has managed to clock up four goals in just 10 league appearances for Die Königsblauen.

Gorezkta has been deployed in a variety of positions during his time with Schalke so far, with the player being played in every midfield position possible since his debut in 2012.
