Manchester United target Fabinho has stated that he is in his last season at his current French club AS Monaco with PSG and Manchester City both also interested in the star.
A report from the respected Italian outlet CalcioMercato has reported comments made by Fabinho in a recent conference stating that his comments are likely to put both Man City and Man United on red alert with PSG also likely to have their heads turned by the star.
The report has quoted Fabinho as stating, “It should be my last season at Monaco. I haven’t signed anything.”
Fabinho has been on the radar of many top clubs for quite some time but his reputation certainly rose astronomically last season. The star was influential in guiding Monaco to a Ligue 1 title last season as they beat PSG to the top spot.
Further, Monaco were also greatly impressive during the Champions League last season with the side reaching the semi-finals. However, this season has been a starkly different story. Monaco have failed to even qualify from the group stages in the Champions League and it appears that many of their key stars are growing frustrated at the club.
The Brazilian could join an already growing list of players that have departed Monaco in recent times to join bigger clubs if he was to leave.
With the star’s future now looking elsewhere it could prompt a bidding war between Manchester City and Manchester United. It’s not like Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho already have enough to fight over, is it?
