Good news for Arsenal, Gunners move ahead of Chelsea and Man United in race for £30M-rated Bundesliga starlet

Arsenal have reportedly jumped ahead of their rivals Chelsea and Man United in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, with the Gunners willing to fork out £30M for the Jamaican international.

This is according to the Mirror, who state that Arsene Wenger’s side have watched the player in his last two matches for Leverkusen, and that the Gunners are now ahead of both Chelsea, who were leading the charge for the player according to the Mirror, and Man United in the race to sign the 20-year-old,

The news outlet are also stating that the north London side are ready to spend £30M on the Jamaican, and with the Daily Mail reporting that the Blues have already had a £22m move for the player turned down earlier this month, it seems as if there could be a big battle between the two clubs for the midfielder.

Arsenal are now reportedly leading the charge for Jamaican ace Bailey

Since moving to Germany from Belgian side Genk in January 2017, Bailey has managed to impress fans with his ability.

In 26 appearances for the Bundesliga side, the winger has been able to scored eight and assist five, an impressive feat for a player of his age.

During his career, Bailey has been deployed as either one one the right or left hand side of midfielder, two positions he can played to full ability.

The winger’s lightning-quick pace and crossing ability have seen some label him as one of the brightest young talents in the whole of Germany.

Should Arsenal end up offering £30M for Bailey, it’ll be interesting to see if the Gunners manage to sign the winger, or whether they end up having to go head-to-head with Chelsea for the player.
