Trent Alexander-Arnold gets in on the act as in the final minute the full-back's 20-yard drive is deflected home. Fortune for the Reds but they are full value for this total thrashing of Maribor.

We are into the last 15 minutes across the Champions League. Gabriel Jesus has the ball in the Napoli net but is correctly flagged for offside.

In a match that should have been all over after 30 minutes, it's now game on at the Etihad Stadium with Amadou Diawara converting a penalty into the bottom corner. Pep Guardiola will be furious if City don't win from here.

A second penalty for Napoli after Fernandinho's very lazy challenge brings down Faouzi Ghoulam for a spot-kick.

What a save at the Etihad Stadium... from John Stones! Napoli looked set to pull a goal back as a pass is cut-back for Marek Hamsik, but the striker's low goal bound shot is deflected behind by the sliding City centre-back.

There's a delay in play in Manchester, with David Silva and Elseid Hysaj needing treatment following a clash of heads. Both have the bandages applied.

Napoli have shown some improvement in this second half and are seeing much more of the ball than they did in the first period at the Etihad Stadium.

City still with that two-goal cushion but not looking as comfortable as they did before the break.

Jurgen Klopp is starting to think about the weekend's fixtures as Mohamed Salah is withdrawn and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is sent on in his place.

It's just too easy for Liverpool. They continue to batter Maribor at the start of this half and as Philippe Coutinho crosses in a free-kick from the left, Roberto Firmino simply glances home a header across goal.

The injured full-back is clearly a fan of the City keeper's penalty heroics by posting a brick wall.

Plenty of goals around Europe but for Tottenham fans it's a game where is currently none that takes their interest.

Spurs will already bite your hand off to take a point at Real Madrid but they will be just as delighted to see Borussia Dortmund being held at APOEL Nicosia.

Meanwhile Manchester City are heading five points clear at the top of their group while Liverpool will go level on five points with Sevilla at the summit of their group.

Kyle Walker brings down a Napoli striker inside the box but from the spot, Dries Mertens sees his shot saved by Ederson.

A big chance for Napoli to get back into the game - but it's one their poor play did not really deserve. Ederson's save is rather justice served on that front.

Napoli are not quite down and out at the Etihad Stadium, but at 2-0 behind they are going absolutely nowhere.

City have yet another chance for a third goal but a shot is cleared off the line by Kalidou Koulibaly.

If this was a boxing match the Maribor towel would have been thrown in a good 15 minutes ago.

Liverpool actually have the ball in the net again after Salah slots in low across goal but the Egyptian is correctly ruled offside.

It's so close to 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium - and it would be thoroughly deserved for the hosts too. Napoli just cannot get a kick.

Anyway, the ball is played into the path of De Bruyne 25 yards out whose first time strike cannons off the underside of the bar, onto the line and then out to safety.

Liverpool were favourites to win this game, but this is getting embarrassing for Maribor. After losing the ball far too easily inside their own half, Firmino plays a straight forward through pass for Mohamed Salah who then inside the box slots past the keeper.

It's not just mild Saturday afternoons against Stoke where Kevin de Bruyne can turn it on. The midfielder attacks the right flank before playing a quite brilliant low ball into the box for Gabriel Jesus to tap home.

Manchester City are making a Napoli side beating everyone in Italy right now look very, very ordinary.

Liverpool are flying in Maribor, with the hosts getting taken apart. James Milner's squared pass picks out Philippe Coutinho on the edge of the box, whose half-volley - although not that cleanly struck - is enough to beat the keeper and end up in the net.

The full-back's shot is blocked but converting the resulting loose ball is Raheem Sterling.

ADAM SHERGOLD: Maurizio Sarri's tenure at Napoli didn't exactly get off to the best of starts.
