Wilshere gives the thumbs up with Arsenal star back in training ahead of return

Jack Wilshere handed Arsenal a major boost after the influential midfielder posted an image of himself back in training.

The England international has been out for six weeks after he broke his foot while playing against Denmark on March 5.

It was Premier League rival Daniel Agger who challenged the midfielder and caused him to leave the field.

The 22-year-old has stepped up his return to fitness and could feature in several games before the end of the season.

'It's all going well for Jack, but he has not started to run, I think that's planned next week,' said manger Arsene Wenger last week.

The news will interest England manager Roy Hodgson, who is being kept updated on Wilshere's progress, as he finalises his squad for the World Cup.

There were fears Wilshere would miss the tournament, but - barring a setback - the midfielder looks certain to make the plane to Brazil.
