'Open book' Jose Mourinho insists he's got no complaints about giving away his  secrets to title-rival Brendan Rodgers

Jose Mourinho says that he has no complaints about giving away his secrets to title-rival Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers, who was youth team coach at Chelsea during Mourinho’s first spell in charge at Stamford Bridge, is in pole position to beat his old boss to the Premier League title with Liverpool.

As the two prepare for today’s huge Premier League clash at Anfield, the self-proclaimed Special One admits he was an ‘open book’ for Rodgers when the Northern Irishman was learning his trade at Stamford Bridge 10 years ago, and is happy that his friend has gone on to create his own story of success.

Mourinho told The Sun: ‘I have no problems at all. I’m happy I did it.

‘There is only one Mourinho, just as there is only one Sir Alex, one Brendan.

‘Did he learn from me? I don’t know. Only he can answer that question.

'So if he finishes above me - no problem, no problem. We are friends, and if I made any contribution for him to become a manager at a big team then I’m happy with that. I’m certainly not worried about it.’

But despite the pair’s friendship, there is a huge amount riding on this afternoon’s showdown with Mourinho knowing defeat would mean his side cannot catch Liverpool in the title race and only Manchester City would then be able to stop Brendan Rodgers' side becoming champions.
