The former Chelsea manager, who is currently based in the Manchester hotel, the Lowry, spent around 90 minutes at the Brazilian restaurant before heading back to their hotel.

With Pogba now in place, the French international midfielder joins Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan as Mourinho's four blockbuster summer signings.

And with United having already landed silverware in the form of the Community Shield this season, hopes are high Mourinho's side can challenge for the title.

The Premier League will be United's main focus with the club not competing in the Champions League this term following last season's fifth-placed finish.

Missing out at Europe's top level is something Mourinho intends to change.

'Man United has to be in the Champions League,' Mourinho told BT Sport.

'I think the Champions League is empty when Man United is not there. Imagine the Champions League without Man United, Real Madrid, Barcelona.

'There are a certain number of clubs that make it not a Champions League without these clubs. That’s Man United and their natural habitat.'

Mourinho's arrival at Old Trafford and the stellar signings of Pogba and Ibrahimovic among others has given United back the stardust they've craved.

'I wouldn’t be happy with just finishing in the top four,' Mourinho admitted.

'I don’t like to go to the players and tell them "let’s try to finish in the top four" - let’s try to win every game.

'But to have that as a starting point, let’s go to every game and try to win every game. But I think a big club like we are, we need to have this mentality.'

United's incredible summer spending has put them as one of the favourites for the Premier League title.

'I feel the responsibility of the job,' Mourinho said.

'It’s obviously a worldwide attention. I feel that in the city of Manchester, people feel the club with such a passion.'

United start their Premier League campaign at Bournemouth before home and away clashes with Southampton and Hull.

That's all ahead of the first Manchester derby at Old Trafford on September 10.
