Arsene Wenger backs Petr Cech after mistake against Chelsea as he praises Arsenal's shot-stoppers: 'I have three world-class goalkeepers and I am very happy with the three I have'

Petr Cech has received a vote of confidence from Arsene Wenger, who claims he is happy with the three 'world-class' goalkeeping options at his disposal at Arsenal.

The Gunners have been linked with a £15million move for Manchester City stopper Joe Hart in the summer but Wenger employed his poker face when quizzed about a possible swoop for the England No 1.

And the Frenchman backed Cech, despite his gaffe in the 3-1 defeat by Chelsea at the weekend.

'I have three world-class goalkeepers and I am very happy with the three I have,' said Wenger, referring to Cech, David Ospina and Emiliano Martinez.

The Arsenal boss was asked specifically about Cech, the 34-year-old veteran, following his mistake in the Chelsea loss when he gifted possession to Cesc Fabregas prior to the Blues' third goal.

Suggestions have been made that Wenger is ready to drop Cech for the visit of Hull this weekend but the notion was brushed aside.

'It's difficult to come out individually on a player. Overall I believe he has a good season,' Wenger said.

'My team is not picked for Saturday yet so I have to leave my choice open. That was not at stake in my thinking at the moment. '
