Liverpool have asked about Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam after rejecting an £11million offer from the Italian club for Alberto Moreno.

Ghoulam, a France-born Algeria international, has been discussed before at Liverpool but is understood to have re-emerged as a possible option in conversations between the two clubs.

He was signed for Napoli by Rafa Benitez who beat off competition from Chelsea and Manchester City at the time in 2014.

Moreno is available for transfer but Liverpool want £15m for the 24-year-old who they signed for £12m from Sevilla three years ago.

Left-back has been a problem position for Liverpool with Moreno failing to show enough defensive discipline in the role prompting Jurgen Klopp to utilise James Milner.

Liverpool have also had enquiries from two Premier League clubs about Moreno and from AC and Inter Milan.

They have considered Ryan Sessegnon at Fulham, Monaco's Benjamin Mendy, who is expected to join Manchester City, and Leicester's Ben Chilwell.

Liverpool remain keen to sign Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.

Manchester United are considering a number of offers from clubs for Adnan Januzaj.

As Sportsmail reported earlier this month, Real Sociedad have made an offer of £9.7million for the Belgium international and United will sell but also have interest from Lyon, Marseille, Monaco and Roma.

Januzaj has failed to build on the early promise he showed in his United career and will not figure under Jose Mourinho.

United are continuing to look for the next bright talent emerging and held talks last week with French prospect Aliou Badara Traore.

The 16-year-old former Paris St Germain academy product, who captained France at U17 level, has been playing for Sarcelles but had a trial with United in February.

The midfielder has interest from Juventus also but is keen on signing for United.

Tottenham are ready to offer a new five-year contract to right-back Kieran Trippier.

The England international pushed his way into Mauricio Pochettino's plans to such an extent last season that Tottenham are willing to sell Kyle Walker for the right price.

Manchester City remain keen on Walker though the £40m-plus asking price remains the obvious hurdle.

Trippier, who had interest from Everton this year, has also earned his call-up into Gareth Southgate's England starting line-up and is expected to make a bigger impact next season.

The 26-year-old is already contracted until 2020 though is ready to sign the new deal when he returns from holiday.

Tottenham have an interest in Porto's Ricardo Pereira but are weighing up other options also should Walker depart.

A move for Everton's Ross Barkley remains unlikely at this stage, particularly with the Goodison Park club's current high valuation at around £50m for the 23-year-old who has one year left on contract.

Everton, meanwhile, will announce the signing of Sandro Ramirez from Malaga on Thursday. Everton scouts have also checked on Corinthians left-back Guilherme Arana

Chelsea have beaten Manchester United and Red Bull Leipzig to the signing of Ajax's 16-year-old Daishawn Redan.

The teenage striker, who will join Chelsea's academy at Cobham Training Centre on July 1, has been one of the most prolific in Ajax's youth set up since he joined as an eight-year-old.

Ajax announced back in March that Redan would leave the club at the end of the season.

'We have mapped out a path for him and there is depth discussions with him and his management,' Ajax youth coach Said Ouaali said.

'That there is no agreement at the last moment is extremely regrettable, obviously they have put something else on their minds.

'We have made every effort to maintain a great talent as Daishawn for the club but at some point it stops.'

Rangers have made a revised offer for Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans.

The Scotland international is eager to return to his native Glasgow but Norwich have yet to accept Rangers' offer.

Their initial bid of £950,000 was rejected early this month, however, Dorrans is willing to push for the move to go through.

Middlesbrough have received enquiries from Newcastle United and West Ham for Adama Traore but are reluctant to sell.

The former Barcelona prospect has also drawn attention from Chelsea, who made enquiries about him in January, and is keen to speak to Premier League clubs.

However, Garry Monk believes he can make him a better player and is hoping to convince the 21-year-old to stay. Traore made 32 appearances for Boro last season though failed to score.

Middlesbrough are also poised to turn down offers for coveted defender Ben Gibson.

Meanwhile, Anderlecht have signed Newcastle United goalkeeper Matz Sels on a season-long loan without an option to buy while West Ham's Reece Burke is poised to join Bolton Wanderers on loan.

Wolves midfielder George Saville is poised to join Millwall for £500,000.

Fulham have made a move for Bordeaux forward Diego Rolan.

The 24-year-old Uruguay international scored ten goals in 31 games last season and can play as a centre forward or on either wing.

He has been watched by Newcastle, Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham among others over the past year.

Fulham are close to agreeing terms for 23-year-old centre-back Marcelo Djaló from Spanish second division side Lugo.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen are trying to sign Fulham attacking midfielder George Williams on a season-long loan.
