- PSG are thought to have offered more than €120m for the 18-year-old
- But Real Madrid have told the star to sit tight and that they will be in for him
Real Madrid have told Kylian Mbappe they will bring him to the Bernabeu, but only after they have concluded the sales of both Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez.
The Champions League winners have been locked in battle with Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain this summer to prise the teenager away from Monaco after an incredible breakthrough season.
PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi is willing to spare no expense in his pursuit of the highly-rated striker, with the French club thought to have already tabled a bid worth over €120million.
Marca have reported that Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid once they have made room
Reports also suggest that they are in a position to double the wages offered by Real Madrid, taking Mbappe’s earnings to €12m each year after tax.
However, Marca reported on Thursday morning that the La Liga side have told the Monaco teenager they will make him a Real Madrid player once they have made room in the dressing room.
Morata was close to a move to Manchester United before they switched attention to Romelu Lukaku, while James Rodriguez has also been linked with Old Trafford and is set to leave Spain this summer.
The reports also suggest that any idea of the player being loaned back to Monaco for one final season is off the table, with the Spanish champions eager for the forward to join the first team as soon as possible.
The teenager will move to the Bernabeu after Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez have moved
Mbappe burst on to the scene last season as he helped Monaco to the Ligue 1 title with 15 goals in 29 appearances.
But it was his displays in Europe that caught the imagination of some of the continent’s biggest clubs as he bagged six goals in nine Champions League games as the Leonardo Jardim’s side reached the semi-finals.
Jardim has a tough job on his hands keeping his squad together after a stellar season, with the top clubs in England taking a keen interest in the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Fabinho and Benjamin Mendy.
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the 18-year-old who shone for Monaco last season
