The 23-year-old Dier lost his regular starting place in midfield to Victor Wanyama last season but is still highly regarded by Mauricio Pochettino.

A graduate of the Sporting Lisbon academy, Dier seen as a key member of the first team set-up with his added versatility of being able to play in defence.

Tottenham will agree to sell Kyle Walker, though Manchester City have yet to meet their £50million asking price, but will not entertain any enquiries for Dier.
