Antonio Cassano has reversed his decision to retire just four hours after he decided to hang up his boots.
Cassano had called a press conference this morning where he planned to announce his retirement only seven days after joining Verona.
But he sensationally reversed his retirement at the press conference, blaming a 'moment of weakness' for his initial decision.
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has completed his move to West Ham United on a season long loan deal.
The England international is not required by City manager Pep Guardiola, and spent last season on loan at Serie A club Torino.
City signed Benfica stopper Ederson earlier this summer, paving the way for Hart to leave the club again, and he has moved to the London Stadium for the coming Premier League campaign.
SIMON JONES: Arsenal are hoping to beat Manchester United to the signing of 16-year-old Feyenoord prospect Joshua Zirkzee.
The Holland U16 striker scored 33 goals in 27 games last season and Ajax have already failed in an attempt to lure him to their academy.
Feyenoord want to promote him to their Under 19s next season but he is considering a move to England with Arsenal and United keen to take him.
Antonio Cassano is set to announce his retirement from football despite joining new club Verona just seven days ago, according to reports in Italy.
The 35-year-old, who previously starred for Real Madrid and AC Milan, signed for newly promoted Serie A side Verona on July 11.
However according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Cassano is set to retire from football almost immediately due to personal reasons.
SIMON JONES: Hull City are in talks to re-sign Fraizer Campbell from Crystal Palace on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old is undergoing a medical ahead of linking up with Leonid Slutsky's squad in Portugal tonight as they face Bristol Rovers in a friendly.
Campbell scored 15 goals in 34 games during a productive spell on loan with Hull in 2007-2008.
Hull are selling Ahmed Elmohamday to Aston Villa for £1million and goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic to Leicester City for £1.25million.
The Tigers have taken former Burton Albion goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin on trial.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will not sell Alexis Sanchez this summer - and added that if the Chilean is so fond of the Champions League he should give his all to ensure Arsenal qualify next season.
Public remarks from Sanchez about his desire to be involved in Europe's top club competition have fuelled the theory he is trying to bolt for the Emirates Stadium exit before the transfer market closes.
Norwich winger Jacob Murphy has arrived in Dublin to undergo his Newcastle United medical ahead of an imminent £12million summer transfer.
Rafa Benitez's side are currently based in the Irish capital for their pre-season training camp, and Murphy was seen arriving with his entourage on Tuesday afternoon to complete the formalities of his move.
Manchester United target Ivan Perisic has been named among the 28-man traveling squad for Inter's summer pre-season tour of the Far East.
United had been pushing to finalise a £44million deal with Inter for Perisic so that he did not have to fly out to China with the Serie A side on Tuesday.
But no deal appears to have been agreed for now as Inter confirmed that Perisic has been named in Luciano Spalletti's squad for their summer tour.
SIMON JONES: Everton defender Matthew Pennington is joining Leeds United on a season loan.
The 22-year-old, who has also been a target for Hull City, can play at centre-back and full-back
I've seen come crazy transfers over the years but this would top the lot.
According to Brazilian TV station Esporte Interativo, Neymar has agreed terms with PSG and could be set to complete his transfer from Barcelona within the next two weeks.
That could only mean PSG have triggered his release clause of £195m - which quite frankly is insane for any player of any ability.
LA Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo plans to keep hold of Ashley Cole and hints the club are keeping an eye on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's current situation.
Birmingham manager Harry Redknapp is targeting former Arsenal and Chelsea defender Cole this summer but Onalfo has denied any knowledge of any offers for him.
Cole is one of the best-known names currently playing for Galaxy, who are stuttering in MLS at the moment, and Onalfo is desperate to ensure he remains at the club.
Javier Hernandez could be allowed to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer as the Mexican striker continues to be linked with a potential return to the Premier League.
Hernandez, now 29, scored 54 goals in 103 English top flight games during his time with Manchester United, but now plies his trade in the Bundesliga where he found the net 11 times last season as Leverkusen finished 12th.
Sampdoria have tabled a £7.5million offer for Jack Wilshere as Arsenal weigh-up the midfielder's future.
The 25-year-old made 25 Premier League appearances on loan at Bournemouth last term before a fractured leg brought his season to a premature end in April.
Wilshere's current contract runs out next summer and Sampdoria have made a cut-price bid to bring him to Serie A.
SIMON JONES: Fulham have made an enquiry to take Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo on loan.
The 20-year-old has also spoken to Middlesbrough and Newcastle United but Liverpool are understood to want certain guidelines placed in any deal to ensure Ojo gets sufficient game time and experience.
Ojo has had previous loan spells with Wolves and Wigan.
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has arrived in Turin for his medical with Serie A giants Juventus ahead of putting the final touches to his summer transfer.
The 27-year-old has spent the past few seasons sharpening his teeth in Italian football after taking on an extended loan deal with Roma.
And, convinced by what they have seen, Juventus have made moves to bring the Arsenal stopper on board to compete with club legend Gianluigi Buffon for a place between the sticks.
Paris Saint-Germain have been back in touch with Arsenal as they ramp up their interest in wantaway forward Alexis Sanchez.
According to French newspaper L'Equipe, the Ligue 1 giants are intensifying their efforts to sign the Chilean after losing hope of bringing Kylian Mbappe to Paris.
The Monaco starlet, who enjoyed a breakthrough season last term, is also wanted by Real Madrid, although manager Leonardo Jardim expects the 18-year-old to remain at the club beyond this summer.
Kieran Trippier has signed a new five-year deal with Tottenham, the club announced on Tuesday.
The right back has been rewarded by Spurs after an impressive season with last year's Premier League runners-up.
The former Burnley man will be hoping to make the right back position his own next campaign following Kyle Walker's £54m move to Manchester City.
SIMON JONES: Marko Arnautovic is close to getting his wish to join West Ham in a £23million deal.
The London Stadium club have made a third offer for the Stoke City winger and the clubs are close to an agreement.
The 28-year-old is expected to sign a four year contract and will become West Ham's record signing.
No pictures of pen and paper, or an official confirmation, but Instagram account 'westhammerz' have the England keeper in West Ham training gear, which is as good as a done deal isn't it?
Barcelona sounded pretty smug when they confidently said no club would dare trigger Neymar's £195million release clause.
Yet according to reports in France and Spain, Paris Saint-Germain are considering just that in what would be a sensational , if slightly bonkers, move.
I mean as good as Neymar is, could any player justify such a transfer fee even in this ridiculous market?
MIKE KEEGAN: Christian Benteke is going nowhere, according to Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer.
The big Belgian striker has been linked with a number of clubs, including Everton, but his Dutch boss has insisted that he does not want to sell him.
‘He's happy here and we really want him to stay,’ said De Boer. ‘He made a great impact last season, especially in the second half of the season, and he is crucial to us and we don't want to sell him.’
Jose Mourinho has 'no idea' what is happening with Manchester United's move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
So far this summer Benfica defender Victor Lindelof and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku have arrived at Old Trafford.
Craig Shakespeare says no ‘official’ bids have been launched for Riyad Mahrez - but admitted he does not know whether the unsettled winger will remain at Leicester City.
Mahrez, 26, has been heavily linked with a switch to Italian giants Roma, who are understood to have made a bid of £26m.
In May, he released a statement saying he wanted ‘to move on to a new experience’.
MATT BARLOW: Alvaro Morata remains Chelsea's number one target in their search for a new centre forward despite emerging competition from AC Milan.
The two clubs would both rather sign Morata from Real Madrid than alternatives which include Andrea Belotti of Torino and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund.
Milan have talks planned with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday about Aubameyang, valued at £60million, but would prefer Morata, who would cost more.
SAMI MOKBEL: Alexis Sanchez wants to join Manchester City and believes Arsenal will cave in their effort to prevent him from joining a domestic rival.
The Gunners are adamant they will not sell their superstar to another Premier League club this summer.
Indeed, sources insist Arsenal will not consider any offers from the Etihad Stadium outfit, even if it means risking losing Sanchez for nothing at the end of the forthcoming season.
And one of those players Arsenal are looking to sell to fund a bid for Lemar appears to be goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who is at Juventus for a medical ahead of a permanent switch to the Italian champions.
SIMON JONES: Newcastle United are discussing a move for Atletico Madrid full-back Javier Manquillo who spent last season on loan at Sunderland.
SIMON JONES: Harry Redknapp is keen on taking Aaron Lennon on loan from Everton.
Lennon has returned to training after a difficult spell last season which saw him admitted to hospital when he was detained under the Mental Health Act.
The 30-year-old has looked sharp in training and is eager to play.
Mukhtar Ali has completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Vitesse Arnhem.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who played for England at both Under 16 and Under 17 level, moves back to the Eredivisie club where he spent the second half of last season on loan.
Ali, who was born in Somalia, came through the Chelsea academy and was part of the team which won the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League in 2015-16.
MATT BARLOW: Arsenal will seek to off-load fringe players before deciding whether to smash the club’s transfer record for the second time this summer with a raid on Monaco for Thomas Lemar.
Lemar remains at the top of Arsene Wenger’s wish-list despite clear indications from the French champions that they are not selling the 21-year-old winger.
CHRIS WHEELER: Manchester City have made a £2.6million bid for Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina, casting more doubt over Claudio Bravo’s future at the Etihad.
Napoli have rejected City’s offer but it’s understood they would be willing to sell the 34-year-old former Liverpool goalkeeper for £4.4m.
Reina has been in negotiations with the Serie A club over extending his contract which runs out in a year but has yet to agree terms.
Neymar won't leave Barcelona because no club is prepared to meet his £195million release clause, according to the club's sporting director.
Speculation has intensified surrounding Neymar's future at the Spanish giants recently with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain showing interest.
The Brazilian signed a new five-year contract last June, which included a buy-out clause.
Liverpool's drawn-out pursuit of Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita took another twist on Monday as the Bundesliga side's manager claimed he was 'comfortable' at the club.
Jurgen Klopp has been chasing the Guinea international this summer to bolster his squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.
But they are yet to strike a deal after having had a £57million bid rejected last week, and Leipzig making it clear that they will not sell.
And it's heating up nicely indeed. Of course it won't reach its peak until deadline day when many clubs go into a panicked frenzy but you can be sure there will be plenty of dealings coming and going before then.
