Neymar could propel Paris Saint-Germain to the Champions League title, claims Unai Emery

- Unai Emery believes Neymar would help PSG challenge in Europe
Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery believes Neymar would propel the French giants to the summit of European football, after confirming the club have made an approach for the Barcelona superstar.
PSG are prepared to meet Neymar's £196million release clause - a fee which would smash the previous world record transfer fee of £89m paid by Manchester United for Paul Pogba in 2016 should it go through.
Barcelona insist the Brazilian is not for sale this summer but Emery is confident the Parisians can convince the former Santos forward to make the switch to Ligue 1.
Neymar would help PSG challenge for the Champions League, according to Unai Emery
'PSG wants the best players in the world, who are in the best clubs in the world,' Emery told L'Equipe.
'If we want to compete with Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and win the Champions League, then PSG must have a player of the world top five. We are trying to get one signed this summer.
'Neymar belongs to the top five in the world. The president and the club have been working for years to attract the best players.
'The team, but also the fans, would be glad that there is a top five, six or seven player in addition to the already strong ones who are here.'
