  • Sunderland have enquired about a deal for Leeds goalkeeper Robert Green

Wolfsburg and Inter Milan have both asked about taking Anthony Martial on loan from Manchester United.

The France international had a relatively poor second season at Old Trafford but remains determined to fight for his place and rekindle the form that marked his arrival from Monaco.

Despite spending £75million on Romelu Lukaku, United are not blessed with forward options following the injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the departure of Wayne Rooney.

Martial has had conversations with Jose Mourinho and France coach Didier Deschamps about focusing on his football and not outside influences and wants to make a greater impression this season.

Mourinho is happy with Marcus Rashford and Lukaku and they will be his go-to pairing but Martial knows he can provide a different option from the flanks or as a central striker and hopes to get a chance with more games to come.

Manchester United have been offered Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain. The Ivory Coast international wants to quit Paris this summer and has been offered to clubs such as Manchester City and Juventus too.

Chelsea's Nemanja Matic is being pushed towards Juventus as they try to broker a deal for the midfielder that could yet see Alex Sandro go in the opposite direction.

The Serbia international's representatives held discussions with Juventus in Milan on Wednesday though the Italians believe the £40million asking price is too steep for Matic and are also reluctant to offer the wages and length of contract that the 28-year-old is after.

Juventus have been rebuffing Chelsea's offers for Alex Sandro so far and have offered him a new contract but the Brazilian knows he could make a substantial increase on his current wage by joining Chelsea.

The concern for Matic is that he knows he could get a better contract at Manchester United if the Premier League champions accede to a deal.

Meanwhile, Schalke remain favourites to sign Chelsea defender Baba Rahman on a new season loan once he recovers from injury.
