West Ham have made Javier Hernandez the best-paid player at the club after confirming the striker's £16m signing from Bayer Leverkusen.
The former Manchester United man has signed a three-year deal worth £140,000 a week at the London Stadium, with the club hoping to have finally solved their long-term search for a goalscorer.
The deal to sign 'Chicharito' was announced last week and it has now been completed after the player arrived in London to undergo a medical at the London Independent Hospital in Stepney earlier on Monday.

Hernandez will now fly out to Germany to meet up with boss Slaven Bilic and his new team-mates at their pre-season training camp.
The striker, who will sport 'Chicharito' on the back of his shirt, admits he can't wait to get started at London Stadium.
'I am very happy to join West Ham United,' he told the club's website. 'For me, the Premier League is the best league in the world and when the opportunity came, I was desperate to sign for this club.
'It was not a difficult decision. West Ham is an historic club, and very ambitious – this summer you can see with the players signed that they are looking to have a very good season.

'I've had three fantastic years playing in Spain and Germany, but England was really the first big chapter in my career and I am so happy to be back.
'I am desperate for the season to start and to help the team achieve all their objectives.'
Hernandez becomes the 33rd striker signed by co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold since they took over the club in January 2010, with 20 of those having failed to score more than three goals for the club.

Hernandez scored 59 goals in 157 appearances during his time at Old Trafford with United
Hernandez will be best known to English football fans as the man who failed to fulfil his massive potential at Old Trafford, but he will arrive at the London Stadium on the back of two impressive seasons in the Bundesliga.
The 29-year-old scored 26 goals across all competitions in his debut campaign and followed it up with a respectable 12 in an injury-hit 2016-17.
He will, however, have to prove he can cope with the physicality of the Premier League all over again.
