Having won all of their games so far, the Red Devils will be confident and looked in high spirits as the sun shined as they explored the city.

The group, which also included Joel Pereira, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira and Matteo Darmian, posed in-front of the Martin Luther King memorial and also drove past the Washington monument built to commemorate George Washington, the first President of the United States.

Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, has admitted he might have to settle for just one more addition this summer.

The Portuguese brought Victor Lindelof to the club before splashing out £75million on Romelu Lukaku, and he was keen to bring in a midfielder and winger to complement them.

Asked about the progression of transfers, he replied: 'I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know. No. (Executive vice-chairman) Ed (Woodward) is in control. He did Lindelof and Lukaku.

'He knows that I would like two more players, but he also knows that I have balance, I understand the situation, I understand the market.

'If my club is not able to do two players and is able to do just one, I will accept that as a consequence of the market now.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho admitted he may only sign one more player

'Our relation is good and I just wait for good news. He knows that for me good news would be to have the players or maybe just the player as soon as possible.

'To work with the team is really important. But I am calm. I like my players, I like my squad. I trust them. I am calm, and that is important.

'One player would be a midfield player that would give me more options to my team, more balance. The other would be an attacking player that could play through the wings to give me more attacking options.'
