Tottenham have been making the most of their pre-season trip to the United States - putting the football aside for a while in order to pay tributes to the greats of the American country music scene.

Mauricio Pochettino's men are currently in Nashville and, ahead of their clash with Manchester City, chose to spend the afternoon looking back at the storied career of the King of Rock and Roll - Elvis Presley.

The Country Music Hall of Fame, one of the world's largest museums, serves as one of the America's biggest attractions, immortalising the likes of Presley, Johnny Cash and Taylor Swift for future generations.

And Spurs boss Pochettino reckons his side can do with a little music therapy before their all English clash with City at the Nissan Stadium.

A group of Tottenham stars, headed by Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier went along for a tour of the musical hits of yesteryear.

The players could be seen listening to some of the iconic tracks, posing for pictures with the plaques of the greats and taking time out to acknowledge young fans.

The trip marks yet another strange excursion for a Premier League side, after Liverpool recently treated their manager Jurgen Klopp to a cooking session out in Hong Kong.

The White Hart Lane side have recently increased their standing in the States, after switching their main sponsorship provider to US powerhouse Nike.

A vast increase of revenue is expected from the deal, though that is yet to translate into transfer dealings.

Spurs are still yet to make a first team signing this summer, despite allowing first team full back Kyle Walker join City in a deal worth around £50m.
