The Saints have so far refused to sanction Van Dijk's exit this summer, despite the Holland international’s wish to leave St Mary’s.
Nevertheless, the Van Dijk camp remain hopeful that the central defender will eventually be allowed to leave the south coast this summer - with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City prepared to make huge bids.
