Manchester City are beginning to clear their decks as Kelechi Iheanacho signed for Leicester and Fernando jetted off for a medical at Galatasaray.

Iheanacho sealed a £25million move on a five-year contract, with City having inserted a £50m buy-back clause.

City are understood to be recouping an initial £4.75m, with add ons likely to take that up to £5.5m.

Manuel Pellegrini signed the 30-year-old in 2014 but he struggled under Guardiola and started just once - an FA Cup draw at Huddersfield - since December.
