Liverpool 3-1 Athletic Bilbao
The last time Liverpool played a pre-season friendly in Dublin, it was the precursor for their most dramatic campaign in modern times.
Back in August 2013, Brendan Rodgers’ side were comfortably beaten 1-0 by Celtic but what followed was nine months of goals and spectacular football that took them closer to the title than at any point since 1990.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Juventus
Tottenham eased to a 2-0 victory over Juventus at Wembley thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen - but manager Mauricio Pochettino was handed a selection headache after Kieran Trippier was forced off injured.
Spurs were the better side throughout the contest and opened the scoring inside 10 minutes when Kane headed Trippier's cross past Gianluigi Buffon.

Good wins for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur bring an end to their pre-season, but will they be all guns blazing for the big Premier league kick-off next weekend?
That's all from me here. Time to tell you that Trippier's injury is thought to be a twisted ankle but make sure you check the homepage for all the latest news.
Thanks for following and cheerio.
And as Federico Bernardeschi fires just wide from distance for Juventus, Spurs replace Eriksen and Mousa Dembele with Oakley-Boothe and Wimmer in the final minute.
Just two minutes to play but Spurs are still preparing a couple of changes with Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Kevin Wimmer getting ready to come on as Juventus press to pull a goal back.
Just five minutes left for Spurs and just as well because Juventus hit the bar again! This time Juan Cuadrado breaks down the right before the Colombian smashes a rising near post strike that Hugo Lloris wonderfully tips onto the crossbar.
What a chance for Juventus. Spurs may lead 2-0, but the Italian champions have had their chances as from 12 yards out an unmarked Moise Kean somehow hits the bar following a low Dybala cross after the forward robbed Eric Dier of the ball.
A change in attack for Spurs with 12 minutes to go as Vincent Janssen replaces Kane. Juventus haven't really kicked on since those Dybala chances. Spurs are good value for this lead.
Liverpool have looked sharper as this second half has progressed and the locals have given their approval of the performance with a rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' from the stands.
I can't recall a Bilbao chance in this period, Liverpool have utterly doinated without actually hitting top gear. Classic pre-season?
'Tripper sat on the subs bench, wearing a boot and holding crutches.'
A couple of changes for Spurs as Harry Winks and Anthony Georgiou replace Alli and Sissoko.
That's more like it. A cross comes in from the right and leaping like a salmon is Dominic Solanke to head home. Well taken.
Liverpool are controlling the game in Dublin, without looking too much of a threat. Having said that they are retaining the ball well and not giving Athletic Bilbao a sniff as we enter the final 15 minutes.
'Tottenham are 2-0 up, have hit the woodwork twice and are cruising. That injury to Kieran Trippier is the only downside of this dress rehearsal so far.'
Although this is much better from Dybala, who from the edge of the box curls a superb shot across goal towards the bottom corner only for Hugo Lloris to dive down well to tip behind.
By far Juventus's best chance of the match, arguably their only one as Paulo Dybala attacks a low cross from six yards out only to divert the ball wide.
And very nearly three! Harry Kane catches the Juventus defence dozing again inside the box but his powerful strike after weaving through them crashes off the crossbar.
Spurs have upped their game in this second half and deservedly take a 2-0 lead. They have been putting pressure on the Juventus defence that looks far from comfortable as Alli's through ball sees Christian Eriksen take the ball past Buffon before rolling home.
This Ben Woodburn looks a bit special. The teenager takes a cut-back from Dominic Solanke before getting away from his marker with a bit of skill and lashing home across goal into the corner. It's a cracking effort.
...no additional changes from Mauricio Pochettino's side following that Trippier change before the break.
Chance for Liverpool. The ball falls for Sadio Mane deep inside the box but his shot from close range is well tipped over by Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Lucky let off for Liverpool. Joe Gomez gives the ball away near the edge of his own box, and following a one-two, Inigo Cordoba fires straight at Mignolet from the edge of the box.
Liverpool lost their way a bit at the end of the first half and with 10 changes haven't quite got going again in this period.
Bilbao are even enjoying a decent spell of possession on the ball, albeit with not too much creativity.
And there are substitutions... loads of them. So many in fact it's just easier posting a before and after for the Liverpool team.
Tripper has already survived one injury shout following a challenge on Sandro, but now after another sliding tackle he has signalled to come off.
The full-back limps off to be replaced by Kyle Walker-Peters.
'Tottenham on top of Juventus here. Even Moussa Sissoko is showing signs of form.
'The midfielder should have just scored, however, when a counter-attack saw him cut inside and shoot across Gianluigi Buffon.
'It struck the inside of the post and away. Poor, old Sissoko was already running away in celebration.'
Another Spurs chance! Moussa Sissoko, who has never scored for Spurs, leads a counter attack down the left before cutting inside and firing across goal against the woodwork.
A rare glimpse of the talent that Spurs paid £30million for last summer.
Tottenham fans worried about how their side will play at Wembley this term will be encouraged by the first third of this match.
Spurs have taken the game to Juventus and should be 2-0 up. Miralem Pjanic's dreadful backpass puts Buffon in trouble but Harry Kane cannot make the most of it.
Seconds later the ball is fired across the Juve box and Kane can only cut the ball back straight into Buffon's arms with the goal at his mercy.
Meanwhile Liverpool twice go close to retaking the lead. First Marko Grujic heads over a James Milner corner before Alberto Moreno forces a good save from the keeper at an acute angle.
Juventus are coming back into the game and are troubling Spurs from set-pieces.
But it's from open play where Tottenham are really getting cut up, with Gonzalo Higuain's clever flick releasing Paulo Dybala behind the defence only for his low cross to be cleared.
Nonsense defending. Dejan Lovren tries to slide the ball clear from the edge of the box, but instead only gives the ball to Inaki Williams who controls the ball before slotting past Simon Mignolet.
'Lovely opening goal, that. Kieran Tripper, who was just treated by medical staff after Alex Sandro stuck his studs into Kyle Walker's replacement at right-back, crosses for Harry Kane, who heads downward. Gianluigi Buffon cannot get a hand to it and it sails in. Well worked.'
Liverpool continue to boss this game as Kepa Arrizabalaga saves well from a low Mo Salah effort.
Bilbao though are keen to play on the counter and should be level after working the ball into the box before firing wide.
From the worst possible start, to the best. Trippier is certainly back up and running again as he floats in a cross for Harry Kane to head past Gianluigi Buffon.
So nearly the worst possible start for Tottenham - an injury to a key player inside five minutes.
Kieran Trippier looks in agony after sliding in awkwardly but after a minute or two it looks like he will continue.
Roberto Firmino is brought down by Inigo Lekue, and from the penalty spot the Brazilian slots home into the bottom corner.
'This is a Juventus side to send shivers down your spine if you're a Tottenham supporter...
Another question: is this the last we will see of Alex Sandro in London? The Juve left-back is a £60m target for Chelsea. He has the chance to impress club scouts a final time here.'
Another superb chance for Origi. This time Alberto Moreno's low cross is not properly cleared, before Mohamed Salah's back post chip is headed over.
And the ground is far from full. Spurs have had problem selling tickets due to over pricing them and as a result only the lower tier is open - and not even that is close to full.
Brilliant play from Liverpool! One touch play results in Roberto Firmino playing in Divock Origi, who from inside the box snatches at his shot to fire wide. Should score.
Was it a cross or was it a shot? Mohamed Salah cuts inside from the right before his ball across the face of goal drifts just wide at the far post. It looked to have too much power on it to be an intended cross.
A positive start from Liverpool who are looking to take the game to Athletic Bilbao early on. No chances yet though despite Divock Origi's attempts to dart past a defender inside the box.
The vast majority of the locals will be backing Liverpool this afternoon, as James Milner leads out the Reds, who will be playing in their white change strip.
Before kick-off, 'You'll Never Walk Alone' is played over the speakers in front of thousands of supporters all holding up red scarves. It's quite a sight - and the noise they make woud do the Anfield regulars proud.
But they are complete in Dublin ahead of the 5.15pm BST kick-off.
Well, I call it a changing room. It's got the mood of a modern lounge bar with that lighting.
Where bananas are the food of choice and foam rollers are used to hold footballs.
Kepa, Boveda, Saborit, San Jose, Williams, Lekue, Mikel Rico, Sabin Merino, Aketxe, Cordoba, Nunez.
Could take some getting used to for me, a little bit too red perhaps. Maybe I'm just being harsh.
Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Rugani, Chiellini, Alex Sandro, Khedira, Pjanic, Douglas Costa, Dybala, Mandzukic, Higuain.
Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Kane.
Spurs subs: Vorm, Whiteman, Carter-Vickers, Dinzeyi, Walker-Peters, Wimmer, Georgiou, Miller, Oakley-Boothe,Janssen.
But the Tottenham Hotspur players have already arrived at their new home for the year.
Here are Liverpool's subs for today: Karius, Ward, Wijnaldum, Gomez, Klavan, Mane, Robertson, Solanke, Flanagan, Kent, Ejaria, Woodburn.
The likes of Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge are ruled out by injury while Jordan Henderson misses out with a virus.
Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Milner, Grujic, Salah, Firmino, Origi.
And that may still mean it's the performance rather than the result that matters, but it's nice to get both heading into the new Premier League campaign isn't it?
Good afternoon all and welcome to Sportsmail's live coverage of Liverpool v Athletic Bilbao and Tottenham Hotspur v Juventus. Liverpool team news coming up next...
Having toured Asia and Germany, Dublin marks the final stop for Liverpool's pre-season campaign when they take on Athletic Bilbao at the Aviva Stadium.
The Reds have overall enjoyed a positive summer having won the Premier League Asia Trophy and only missing out on the Audi Cup following a penalty shootout defeat by Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur will also be taking part in their final pre-season fixture when they take on Juventus at Wembley Stadium. Follow all the action here.
