Richarlison joins Watford for £11.2m from Fluminense as Brazilian signs five-year contract

Watford have announced the £11.2million signing of Brazilian attacker Richarlison on a five-year contract. 

Marco Silva's Watford have fended off strong competition from a host of sides to acquire the services of the Brazilian, following a successful work permit application. 

Richarlison has joined the Hornets from Brazilian outfit Fluminense, where he scored 19 times in 67 matches.

Chelsea had also made enquiries for the exciting 20-year-old while Ajax had agreed personal terms on a four-year contract.


Richarlison is a pacy forward who can play on the wing and cuts inside, scoring 10 goals in 21 league games this season. 

Furthermore, Richarlison has scored two goals in eight Brazil Under 20 outings so far.

Silva will be hoping to have the Brazilian available when Watford host Liverpool in their opening Premier League match on Saturday.
