Hugo Lloris is adamant Tottenham Hotspur's most important activity this summer has been keeping most of their squad together — despite Danny Rose's outburst.
Rose raised eyebrows when he criticised the club's lack of spending and wage system in a controversial newspaper interview.
Tottenham sold right back Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50million and left back Rose appeared to be angling for something similar.
Hugo Lloris says Tottenham have done very well to keep the same group of players at the club
Yet club captain Lloris insisted: 'The most important thing is to make sure we keep basically the same group of players.
'There is a real project happening and the board showed that last season by re-signing all of the most important players in the squad.'
Rose was among those who 're-signed' as he put pen to paper on a five-year contract last September. He will miss Tottenham's opener at Newcastle on Sunday because of a knee injury.
