Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has called for Tottenham to step up to the plate this season and start acting like one of the Premier League's big boys.
The former Gunners ace is impressed by the rise of his once rivals, paying tribute to the building work put in place by chairman Daniel Levy.
Henry, however, has warned the north London club about making sure their top players do not leave, particularly at a time when the club cannot compete financially with the elite.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes Tottenham need to start acting like one of the big boys
'If you want to be a big club, you have to act like a big club,' Henry wrote in his Sunsport column.
'I know from my own experience it is so hard to compete financially when you are building a new stadium.
'But what happened at Arsenal? Everybody left!' the Frenchman added.
The summer transfer window has been a slow burner for Spurs, with the club only recently having confirmed their first signing.
Colombian international Davinson Sanchez has arrived for Ajax in a deal worth £45million.

The Arsenal icon has warned the club about losing players following Danny Rose's comments
The 21-year-old is expected to add reinforcement to Spurs' already successful back line, though Henry believes this is only a start and the club must be wary with some of their key names appearing to be open to leaving.
'Signing Davinson Sanchez from Ajax is a start, but only a start... there are other areas that need improving,' Henry added.
'Kyle Walker is already gone, Danny Rose has talked about it (leaving) ... Eric Dier never denied anything about Manchester United.
'At some point if you don't match the wages on offer at other clubs or bring titles it's going to be difficult to keep Rose, Dier, Harry Kane and Dele Alli.'

Spurs continue their Premier League campaign when they host Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.
It will be the first game of the 2017-18 season for Mauricio Pochettino's side at their new temporary home, as they bid to build upon their opening weekend victory over Newcastle.
