Mauricio Pochettino has refused to rule out a deal for Serge Aurier amid reports that the player is having a medical in Paris. 

French publication L'Equipe report that a £23million deal has been agreed with Tottenham for the Paris Saint-Germain defender. The Ivory Coast international will be unable to complete the transfer until he receives permission to work in the UK. 

Aurier, 24, was a refused a visa to enter the country for a Champions League tie against Arsenal last November because of a conviction for assaulting a police officer.

Juventus are believed to be interested in signing Aurier on loan should he be unable to move to England, although his lawyers are working on the issue.

Spurs manager Pochettino said: ‘We cannot confirm anything until something happens. Many, many players like always in the media. I cannot confirm anything. 

'I never speak about rumours because of my full respect to the other clubs and the players involved in negotiations with us or with other clubs. We will see. I don't like to speak about rumours.'
