Leicester take 15 minute private jet flight to Manchester ahead of Premier League clash with pacesetters United

Leicester City have wasted no time getting to Manchester this weekend ahead of their clash with Jose Mourinho's United... opting for a 15 minute flight.

Rather than the usual trip in the team coach, winding its way from the Midlands to Manchester, the 2015-16 title winners took to the skies and hopped on a quick domestic flight.

Timing between the Foxes sitting back and putting on their headphones and the wheels of the airliner touching down on the Manchester runway would have been minimal, with Leicester able to maximise their preparation time ahead of the crunch clash.

The Foxes will approach the game having won their last Premier League game against Brighton, while also triumphing over Sheffield United in the league cup.

It is United however who stand as the early season pacesetters, having won both of their opening games - over West Ham and Swansea - each with a emphatic 4-0 scoreline.

Captain Wes Morgan and striker Jamie Vardy could both be back in Leicester's starting line-up against United.

Both players were left nursing injuries following the home win over Brighton but Morgan's back complaint has eased and Vardy is fit again after a foot problem.

Danny Drinkwater (thigh) and Papy Mendy (ankle) have resumed full training while Kelechi Iheanacho has also been able to train, although Shakespeare will err on the side of caution with the striker after his toe injury.

Manager Shakespeare also hopes the forthcoming international break will see Vicente Iborra regain fitness.

The Spanish midfielder, a summer signing from Sevilla, has yet to make his debut for the Foxes after suffering a groin injury in training during the week leading up to the opening league game at Arsenal.

Iborra was sent for a scan and has not trained since but Shakespeare is looking for the 29-year-old to make progress in the two-week break from Premier League action that follows Leicester's game at Manchester United on Saturday evening.

'He was gutted not to be able to play. I know with Vicente he is disappointed at the moment,' said Shakespeare.

'He is not training yet. I think it will be after the international break. Once we get over United, we have a couple of weeks and I am hoping we can up his fitness and get him out onto the grass. He hasn't joined in with the squad yet.

'I am always trying to look on the positive side and say you will be back in one week when I know it probably will be two or three, really just to put some positivity into him. But I am sure we will have him back sooner rather than later.'
