Liverpool are rivalling Chelsea for the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Anfield club have made a serious move for the Arsenal star ahead of transfer deadline day on Thursday.

The 24-year-old is set to reject a £180,000-per-week deal at Arsenal and it remains to be seen whether Wenger will select Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is a regular in the starting XI, for Sunday's clash against Liverpool.

The former Southampton man had previously shown a reluctance to sign a new deal.
