Read Sportsmail's RIATH AL-SAMARRAI with the full match report from Wembley: The drummer has gone but the drumming in Mauricio Pochettino’s head remains. This Wembley thing just won’t go away.
It must feel like he has tried everything to kill off those punchlines, those barbs, those observations that his team cannot get across the line once they get across that threshold.
In the case of this weekend, it meant doing away with the musician whose drum kit was hooked into the stadium sound system to create some atmosphere last Sunday. Everyone had a good giggle at their expense about that.
But dropping the gimmicks didn’t work and nor, evidently, did anything else, with Spurs giving Burnley a good slapping and leading through Dele Alli before taking a fine one in the chops two minutes into stoppage time through Chris Wood.
Chris Wood via BBC: 'It is special because we got a great point away from home against a really good side. We are glad we have taken something.
'We created a lot of chances second half and deserved to take something. Everybody knows the character at Burnley. We all work hard. We need to take on from last season and push on'.
Burnley are now unbeaten in their last three trips to London in the Premier League. Two wins and one draw.
Ex-Burnley man Joey Barton has tweeted after the Clarets secured a 1-1 draw at Wembley.
Barton, who left Burnley following his FA suspension for gambling on football, clearly retains a soft spot for his old side.
Wood missed a number of chances and was caught offside three times before his late, late goal. But persistence paid off eventually and he came up with the goods right at the death.
That will do his confidence a world of good as the New Zealand international starts paying off his £15million price tag.
Tottenham were committing too many men forwards when they were caught out by Brady's pass. Trippier was high up the pitch and couldn't get back in time to cut it out.
And Burnley have punished them.
Tottenham wanted to put the curse to bed today but this result will give further ammunition to those who believe in it.
That's just one win in 12 now at the home of football. Tottenham better get used to playing here soon or they could be in for a tough season.
Burnley rescue a point with virtually the last kick of the game. Tottenham will be kicking themselves - they had the chances to make the game safe but failed to take them.
Davinson Sanchez comes on for his debut, replacing Dembele. Barely any time left.
A considerably less enjoyable debut for the £42million man.
AND THERE IT IS! Chris Wood snatches a point for Burnley at the death and you can't say it wasn't coming.
Brady picks out the big man with a wonderful, defence-splitting through ball. The big man gets in front of Trippier and Vertonghen before slotting home a first-time finish past Lloris.
Tottenham's Wembley woes continue but it's a dream debut for Wood! Late, late leveller.
And a truly brilliant pass from Brady to tee him up.
Pochettino throws on Harry Winks in place of Christian Eriksen - whose influence has waned this second half.
Four added minutes are given by Bobby Madley. One more chance for Burnley?
Wood's had two chances in the past two minutes.
First he fails to get the right purchase on a header when it is swung in by Ward.
Then another cross from Ward finds the striker in on goal but he skews his effort wide - it was fizzed in to him in fairness to the big man. Tottenham hardly seeing this game out comfortably though.
Tottenham are just five minutes away from ending the 'Wembley curse'.
'Come on you Spurs' rings out as Tottenham fans try to push their team over the finish line.
Brilliant tackle from Lloris. For once Wood times his run well to stay onside and he is put through on goal.
But Lloris sprints off his line and launches himself into an inch-perfect challenge on Wood. Dangerous tackle to make but he nailed it.
Burnley ignore the golden rule of 'never make a substitution when defending a set piece'.
Luckily for Dyche's men, Kane's effort hits the wall and Burnley clear.
It should be 2-0. Eriksen crosses in to Alli who fires straight at Heaton with the goal gaping.
The goalscorer should have added another there. Had the whole goal to aim at. Tottenham have had a number of chances to put the game to bed now.
Heaton denies Kane again! This time Kane is put through one-on-one and forces another good save from Burnley's keeper.
Eriksen swings in a corner. Burnley clear but as they all rush out, Eriksen stays out left and breaks the offside trap.
He is played in and shoots at Heaton from a narrow angle. The Burnley keeper saves well. Eriksen finds himself in space again but is caught in two minds.
Davies bombs forward on the overlap and crosses to Kane.
Kane shoots towards the bottom corner but Heaton makes a smart save.
Game becoming more stretched now.
Burnley are in the ascendancy here. On the counter, Arfield works it wide to Brady who fires a rasping effort on goal.
Lloris is equal to it and palms away. The resulting corner comes in too flat and Tottenham clear.
Sissoko comes on for Son. Tottenham want that second goal to make things comfortable here as Burnley look to be growing into this one.
Barnes fouls Vertonghen as he leaps up for an aerial challenge with the Tottenham defender. The substitute protests the decision with Mason.
Dyche's men are pushing forward now as they go in search of an equaliser. Ward launches a long throw in to Wood who can't get his head to it.
Burnley are looking more expansive already. Barnes is playing just off of Wood and they go with a more patient approach.
A chance falls to Ward but he can't repeat his Stamford Bridge heroics and fires over.
Chris Wood makes his Premier League debut off the bench as Sean Dyche changes things up. The new signing comes on in place of Vokes.
Ashley Barnes is also brought on, in place of Gudmundsson, as Dyche throws a little more caution to the wind with two up front.
Tottenham on top now. Alli finds the Tottenham striker in space but he pulls his effort wide of Heaton's post.
Usually a chance Kane buries but for now Burnley survive at 1-0. Still no August goal for the two-time Golden Boot winner.
A Tottenham corner is flicked on by Dier into the path of Alli - who shoots from inside the area but his effort is blocked by Ben Mee.
But Mee then gets himself into a tangle and messes up his clearance, it falls right back to Alli who makes no mistake second time round by slotting home into the bottom corner. Burnley will be disappointed to have conceded from a set piece.
Strangely muted celebration from Alli.
Off we go! Burnley get the second half underway.
Alli works his way into the penalty area with some trickery and goes down under a challenge. Looked a fair tackle.
Son then teases a cross back into the Burnley box but Mee clears. Early pressure from Tottenham as the game picks up right where we left off.
Son has been appearing all across Tottenham's front line in that first half. The South Korean's heat map shows how he hasn't stuck to the left-hand side but rather drifted across all attacking positions.
Spurs have dominated without really creating too many clear-cut chances. They've had eight shots to Burnley's four.
Tottenham have enjoyed the lion's share of possession too with 72 per cent of the play so far.
They've come to stifle Tottenham and play on the counter and Burnley have done that effectively so far.
Sean Dyche will be happy with his side's organisation - Tottenham have only really gotten in behind their defence once and Tarkowski was there to block Kane on that occasion.
Whether they can offer something going forward remains to be seen...
The first half is brought to an end by Lee Mason. Not much in the way of entertainment for fans at Wembley.
SAM CUNNINGHAM sums a drab 45 minutes up: 'This really has been a dire half of football.
'Where’s the intensity, passion and direct attacking play that was so effective against champions Chelsea last weekend? We’ve seen none of it here'.
Burnley win a corner after a rare forage forward. Chance breaks down and they are caught out on the counter but Tottenham can't make them pay.
Tottenham appeal for a handball just outside the area on Defour. It does hit his hand but Eriksen fired it right at him from a yard away.
The August curse strikes again? Not quite, but Kane has a good chance in the penalty area deflected behind by Tarkowski.
Alli found the overlapping Davies who fizzed one in to Kane. Kane had the time to take a touch and but Tarkowski threw himself in the way. First time Tottenham have really got in behind Burnley this half.
Another long shot from Spurs but this time more threatening.
Eriksen goes more direct and Alli nods it down to Son. Son's strike is deflected over.
The resulting corner is cleared by Vokes but better from Tottenham there.
Tottenham are dominating possession but have yet to really get in behind Burnley's defence. Spurs have taken to shooting from range but Heaton is untroubled.
It's not the prettiest of matches, but Burnley are well-drilled and Dyche's men haven't given Tottenham a sniff so far. Everyone but Sam Vokes behind the ball.
A number of Spurs passes have been over hit from midfield. Eriksen is the latest to drill one beyond the reach of Trippier and out of play.
Tottenham still getting used to the unfamiliar surroundings of Wembley, no doubt.
Burnley float in another cross and James Tarkowski meets it at the far post.
The defender heads at goal from a tight angle over Lloris' goal. He was probably better off nodding it back across the six-yard box there. Burnley again look threatening from set pieces.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson is having none of Tottenham's short corner there. The Icelandic midfielder blocks the set piece about five yards from the corner flag.
Tottenham work an opening and Eriksen swings in a ball to Dier - who heads off target. Spurs finding it tough to break down Burnley as the Clarets look happy to soak up the pressure and play on the counter for now at least.
Vertonghen plays a lovely disguised through ball to Son who shoots straight at Tom Heaton.
The linesman flags for offside but replays show it was a tight call. Wonderful pass from Vertonghen though, both Tottenham centre backs capable of playing killer balls.
Harry Kane stretches to head a chance over after Ben Davies delivers a set piece.
Jan Vertonghen was queuing up behind the striker - if he'd have given Kane a shout he would've had a better view on goal. Tottenham beginning to settle now.
Son is looking lively in the opening stages for Tottenham. Popping up in dangerous areas and trying to play in his midfielders.
The South Korean will be hoping to make an impression after being left out of the side in the loss to Chelsea last time out.
Dyche has got his men pressing Tottenham high up the pitch from straight from Lloris' short goal kicks. Burnley's forwards are pressuring Tottenham's defence, trying to force the home side into mistakes.
Once Tottenham advance past the half-way line they sit back deeper and go more compact. Dyche certainly has them playing like a unit.
Eriksen links up well with Son. The Dane works an opening and shoots on goal but his effort is blocked behind. The subsequent corner comes to nothing.
Brady swings in a wonderful corner and Ben Mee meets it to head just over the bar. The defender might have got that on target.
You feel Burnley will be a threat from set pieces today.
Robbie Brady lofts a cross towards Tottenham's goal but it goes on target and nearly catches Lloris off guard. He punches clear for a corner.
Decent start from Burnley who have got three corners already.
Wembley is in full voice but the game has yet to settle into any sort of rhythm. Burnley have an early corner which is cleared.
Up the other end Trippier offers an option on the overlap but the chance comes to nothing.
Another landmark today. Sean Dyche is taking charge of his 250th Burnley game.
So that's Dyche's 250th, Dembele's 200th for Tottenham and if Kane scores it will be his 100th for the club.
And we're off! Can Tottenham get their first Premier League win at Wembley or will Sean Dyche's men spoil the party.
Son fires an early effort way over the bar after linking up with Kane up top. The sun is out and casts a huge shadow over the pitch.
Expect Burnley to pack the middle of the park and try to stifle Tottenham's midfielders. Sean Dyche has selected a five-man midfield with Cork, Defour, Brady, Arfield and Gudmundsson.
Heung-Min Son comes into the side for Victor Wanyama after his cameo off the bench against Chelsea. Kieran Trippier retains his place ahead of Walker-Peters as the back four stay in place.
Moussa Dembele will partner Eric Dier behind Eriksen, Alli, Son. Kane leads the line.
Tottenham have paid homage to their long-serving midfielder Moussa Dembele. Who is set to make his 200th appearance today.
SAM CUNNINGHAM: Plenty of empty seats here at Wembley and it’s not long until kick-off now...
Tottenham will be desperate to get into the winning habit at Wembley to end all talk of any 'hoodoo' or 'curse' they feel when playing at the national stadium.
Despite the players denials that the talk sticks in their minds, they'd be forgiven for believing in the curse if they failed to get a result today...
As you probably already know, Harry Kane does not score in August. Though he more than makes up for it throughout the rest of the year.
Kane has had 34 shots across 12 Premier League matches without a goal in August and will be hoping to break his duck today.
Burnley are making their first appearance at Wembley Stadium since the 2008-09 Championship play-off final, which they won 1-0 against Sheffield United.
Here the Clarets are, soaking up the atmosphere in the Wembley sunshine ahead of today's clash.
Davinson Sanchez could make his debut for Tottenham after joining for a club-record £42m from Ajax earlier this week. He has been named on the bench.
Burnley's own club-record signing is also set to make his Premier League debut. Chris Wood, who joined in a £16m deal from Leeds, came off the bench in the Carabao Cup win over Blackburn. He is again among the substitutes for today's match.
Burnley have already equalled their total of away wins from last season - by securing a shock win at Chelsea in the opening weekend of the season. They also won their previous trip to the capital - a 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace in April.
The Clarets return to London looking to claim another huge away scalp - they were beaten 1-0 by West Brom at Turf Moor last time out.
The talk ahead of this match has centred around Tottenham's struggles playing at Wembley.
Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea last time out here to make it seven losses from nine competitive matches at the national stadium.
Pochettino's side will be desperate to get the three points today to banish any further speculation surrounding the Wembley 'curse'.
Tottenham XI: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Son, Dele, Kane
Substitutes: Vorm, Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Oakley-Boothe, Sissoko, Winks, Janssen
Burnley XI: Heaton, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Ward, Cork, Defour, Gudmundsson, Brady, Arfield, Vokes
