Chris Sutton has branded Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke 'a joke' for not showing Arsene Wenger the exit door.
The calls for Wenger to leave the Gunners have intensified again following the 4-0 thrashing by Liverpool on Sunday.
Sportsmail columnist Sutton, who was appearing on BBC 5Live's Monday Night Club, said: 'You have to blame the manager and the people employing him. Kroenke's a joke.
The calls for Arsene Wenger to be sacked as Arsenal manager have again intensified
Wenger's position is safe as long as Stan Kroenke (right) is the owner, says Chris Sutton
'[Ivan] Gazidis is keeping him in a job. Kroenke is keeping him in a job. They have to stand up and sack him.'
Wenger signed a new two-year contract at the Emirates shortly after winning the FA Cup for the seventh time in May.
Sutton called the 67-year-old the Pied Piper. He also said he had led everyone into a 'merry dance' after keeping the Arsenal supporters waiting until the end of last season before making a decision on his future.
Ivan Gazidis (centre) is another who Chris Sutton says is allowing Wenger to do what he wants
Arsenal were humiliated when they were beaten 4-0 away at Liverpool on Sunday
He added: 'Above him is where the problem lies in [Stan] Kroenke and [Ivan] Gazidis. I would have binned him [Wenger] last season.
'Who carries the can? It goes far further than the manager, it goes up to Kroenke and Gazidis. They’ve let Arsene Wenger run amok. He’s chosen his future.
'He was disrespectful to the Arsenal supporters last season. He should have gone. Is it a surprise they’re in a mess? No.'
Ian Wright said the club had reached crisis point after only three games of the new season
'He's stayed at the club on FA Cup wins but Portsmouth and Wigan have won the FA Cup - and look where they are. He won the Community Shield but no-one wants to win the Community Shield anyway.'
Gunners legend Ian Wright said his former club had already reached 'crisis point' at such at early stage in the season.
Sutton also believes that Arsenal's supporters have been let down by the 67-year-old
He also believes Wenger's 21-year tenure as manager must now come to an end.
'It does come back to Arsene Wenger's door,' he said. 'Three games in and we're literally at crisis point. We're losing players. I would like him to go because I do not think Arsene Wenger can motivate those players. We're three games in and it's already an absolute nightmare. Where do we go from here?'
