Manchester United's attempts to lure Ivan Perisic away from the San Siro will come to an end with the winger set to sign a new deal at Inter Milan, according to Croatia head coach Ante Cacic.
Jose Mourinho has earmarked Perisic as the fourth and final signing of the summer to complete the jigsaw he has spent over a year constructing.
And despite the Serie A outfit rebuffing several approaches, Mourinho has not been deterred — but Cacic believes Croatia's star man will remain in Italy this season.

However, the United boss is a great admirer of the 28-year-old winger and believes his industrious style of play could fit the bill at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese now looks set to miss out on Perisic, should he put pen-to-paper on a new contract in Milan, which may be the catalyst for increased interest in Real Madrid misfit Gareth Bale.
