Tony Pulis is closing in on another transfer coup with talks at an advanced stage for Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.

Having signed Oliver Burke from RB Leipzig last week, the West Brom manager is trying to convince another player to swap Champions League football for the Hawthorns.

Krychowiak, who has 45 caps for Poland, was signed by PSG from Sevilla last year for a fee worth up to £34million, but has struggled to make an impression at the French club.

PSG's Grzegorz Krychowiak is in extended talks over a season-long loan to West Brom

West Brom are proposing a season-long loan for the highly-regarded central midfielder, who played the entirety of Sevilla's Europa League win over Liverpool in 2016.

Leicester have been looking at Krychowiak too but West Brom have moved ahead in the reckoning, soon after beating Crystal Palace to signing winger Burke.

Pulis is determined to raise the quality of his squad and has also seen a £7m bid for Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs accepted.

'We're in the market for lots of things hopefully, we haven't done our business yet,' Pulis said.

Pulis is also keen on Burnley striker Ashley Barnes, while they are hopeful of signing Souza from Fenerbahce.
