Chelsea could sign Fernando Llorente on Wednesday for £15m... but Swansea want to bring in Wilfried Bony before letting the Spanish striker leave

Chelsea could complete the £15million signing of Swansea striker Fernando Llorente on Wednesday afternoon after the clubs held talks on Tuesday night.

Swansea are trying to re-sign Wilfried Bony, who was with the Welsh outfit from 2013-15, for £13m from Manchester City, before letting go of their Spanish forward.

Llorente has been on Chelsea's radar for a while now, with Antonio Conte having tried to sign him back in the January transfer window.

The Italian manager coached Llorente while working at Juventus and Conte sees the 32-year-old striker working well with Alvaro Morata.

Llorente finished as Swansea's top scorer with 15 goals last season following his £5m move from Sevilla.

He was an instrumental figure in guiding Paul Clement's side to safety last season and he would become Conte's fifth major summer signing.

Chelsea have already signed Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero as they look to defend their Premier League title and and go toe-to-toe with Europe's best in the Champions League.

Everton have also tried to sign Llorente but it looks likes he will sign for the Stamford Bridge outfit before the window closes on Thursday night.
