Huddersfield made the most of the international break by taking on German fourth tier Altona 93 in mid-season friendly.

The Terriers headed to Hamburg to face their opponent, in a match put together by manager David Wagner.

Following their strong start to the Premier League campaign Huddersfield were keen to continue the momentum and deny the international break the chance to slow them down.

Goals from Laurent Depoitre, who grabbed a brace, and Abdelhamid Sabiri were enough to put the hosts to the sword.

David Wagner made ten changes to his starting line-up with Christopher Schindler the only survivor from the side that drew 0-0 with Southampton in the last league match.

New signings Sabiri and Florent Hadergjonaj were handed their first starts for Wagner's side.

The Terriers will now return to the UK where they will once again prepare for domestic action.

After being promoted last season Huddersfield are yet to taste defeat in the top flight, after making a solid start to the season.

Opening matches against Crystal Palace and Newcastle brought victories, while the recent clash with Southampton ended in a goalless stalemate.

West Ham will provide the next opposition for Wagner's men, with the two sides set to meet for a Monday night clash on September 11.
