Davide Zappacosta took part in his first Chelsea training session on Wednesday as Antonio Conte's side prepared for Saturday's trip to Leicester.

Zappacosta, who cost the Blues £25million and joined on transfer deadline day last Thursday, looked ready to go as he trained at Cobham.

The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal with Chelsea and will be in the squad for the Premier League fixture against the Foxes.

The right-back played most of the second half for Italy on Tuesday as they beat Israel 1-0 in World Cup qualifying. 


Eden Hazard could also be in Chelsea's starting line-up to play Craig Shakespeare's side after appearing up to speed in training.

Hazard, who broke his ankle in June, returned to action for Belgium in their World Cup qualifier against Gilbraltar last week.

The 26-year-old scored during the 9-0 victory before being replaced 13 minutes before time by younger brother Thorgan.

Hazard came off the bench in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Greece as boss Roberto Martinez chose to give him as much rest as possible.

It is understood, however, that Conte doesn't want to rush Hazard back into first-team action.

Drinkwater will be included in Chelsea's matchday squad for the trip to Leicester
