Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal PLAYER RATINGS: Laurent Koscielny leads by example as David Luiz loses his head

The last time Arsenal travelled across London to face Chelsea and returned with a point without scoring was 12 years ago.

Back then Petr Cech was still a Blue, Cesc Fabregas was a Gunner and John Terry was still the darling of Stamford Bridge. In 2017 Cech and Fabregas have swapped sides and Terry watched from the stands having left the club.

In a testing game, where neither side gave an inch, David Luiz gave Arsenal some late impetus when he was sent off but chances were at a premium.

Will be happy with the clean sheet as Arsenal more than held their own.

Gary Cahill - 6.5

Back from suspension and back in the thick of the action. Solid.

David Luiz - 6

Set the tone for his team before being sent off for a reckless tackle on Kolasinac.

Cesar Azpilicueta - 7

As dependable as ever. Kept a cool head during a tense 90 minutes.

Antonio Conte protested the decision but he could have few complaints about the lunge

Luiz lost control of the ball and lunged high on Kolasinac, sending the Arsenal man up in the air

Recovered from an early injury scare to cause Arsenal some problems.

Here, there, and everywhere. His brain works a split second faster than everyone else's.

Showed a little bit of everything in Chelsea's midfield. As ever, easy on the eye.

Marcos Alonso - 6.5

A controlled display from the Spaniard, but was exposed by Bellerin's pace.

Pedro - 6

Missed great chance in the first half before being replaced at half-time.

Alvaro Morata - 6

A frustrating afternoon for the Chelsea striker. Falls down too easily. Booked.

A mature display from the Brazilian. Unlucky to be substituted.

A much improved display. Thought he'd won the game with a disallowed late header.

Threatening going forward and kept a decent lock on Chelsea attacks. Booked.

Broke the lines when he could to cause Chelsea problems. Drove Arsenal forward.

Granit Xhaka - 5.5

A sloppy performance from the Swiss but he didn't hide when it was easy to.

Sead Kolasinac - 6.5

Fast becoming a crowd favourite. Tremendous energy down Arsenal's left. Booked.

Alex Iwobi - 6

Replaced the injured Mesut Ozil. Did OK without making a significant impact.

Danny Welbeck - 6.5

Grafted for his team and caused some problems in attack before limping off.

Danny Welbeck started the game but eventually limped off to be replaced by Olivier Giroud

Alexandre Lacazette - 6

Could have scored twice in the first half before being substituted.
