  • The two sides hold a long-term London rivalry in the Premier League
  • Brady praises the running of Spurs and would sooner see them win the title
  • The Hammers CEO also takes swipe at the foreign-owned clubs with big money

West Ham chief executive has admitted she would rather see her side's rivals Tottenham win the Premier League, over the likes of the heavy spending foreign-owned front runners.

Brady is preparing to see her Hammers host Spurs for Saturday's early kick-off, and has offered the rivals some encouragement by backing them to go on and lift the Premier League title.

Both West Ham and Spurs have experienced disheartening starts to the league campaign, with the Hammers languishing in the bottom five and Spurs struggling to establish momentum.

Writing in her column for the Sun, Brady admitted she is desperate to see her side put one over on their city rivals, but would sooner back Spurs than any other challenging top flight team.

'I admit I am jealous of the current Spurs side,' Brady wrote.

'In many ways, the cock should be crowing for Spurs. Newly resplendent in a year's time, White Hart Lane will ring their name as always.

'What more could a true a supporter want? Well, a first Premier League title would do.

'I'd rather like to see them upset the foreign spendthrifts and do it,' Brady added.

Victory in the day's early kick-off would see West Ham climb up to mid-table, level on points with Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.

When these two sides met last season it was the Hammers who pulled off the shock victory, beating Spurs by a slender 1-0 margin and all but killing their titles hopes as the season reached its climax.
