Sergio Aguero would be my perfect strike partner, says Chris Sutton... as Martin Keown admits he would 'struggle to stop' Manchester City star

  • Sergio Aguero reminds Chris Sutton of former Celtic partner Henrik Larsson
  • The Manchester City star makes those perfect runs in behind in abundance
  • Martin Keown believes he would be the toughest Premier League striker to stop
  • He looks certain to score every game and is capable of spectacular strikes
  • Ranked: Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata

Sportsmail columnist Jamie Redknapp believes Harry Kane is the most complete striker in the Premier League, edging out Sergio Aguero, Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata in his estimates.

But his fellow Wise Men, Chris Sutton and Martin Keown, believe the Manchester City striker should come out on top.

Here, Sutton explains why the Argentine would be his perfect strike partner while Keown admits he would have struggled to stop the pocket rocket.

I like Alvaro Morata but Sergio Aguero would be the toughest rival.

All four of these strikers have tremendous attributes but the one who would have best suited my game is Aguero.

Harry Kane is a fine finisher with superb awareness but in terms of link-up play we would be too similar to work as a partnership.

Aguero reminds me of Henrik Larsson in the way he plays off the shoulder. Larsson could play in any position along the front line and was a better all-round forward.

I always liked players who made those runs in behind and that is what you get in abundance from Aguero.

Of the four, Romelu Lukaku has the best raw ability. With his pace, strength and hold-up play he is like Didier Drogba.

Morata's link-up play may not be as refined but he creates more space for himself than the others. He has the most natural movement and the timing of his runs is excellent.

But of the Premier League's Fab Four, Aguero would be a perfect strike partner.

Sergio Aguero would be the toughest opponent of these four strikers. He drifts past defenders as if they are not there. He is icy cool, looks certain to score every time he is through on goal and is capable of spectacular strikes.

Romelu Lukaku is immensely powerful but if you can match his pace and power you can bring him under control. Harry Kane is intelligent, dogged in the challenge and deceptively quick. His right boot is a thunderbolt so you must close him down quickly.

Alvaro Morata has good movement and is benefiting from the chances supplied by this creative Chelsea team. To stop him, you need to cut off his supply line.

But to get the better of Aguero is a different challenge altogether. Already one of the best, he has taken his game to another level.
