Huddersfield deliberately targeted 'fearless' stars with no Premier League experience, admits David Wagner

- Christopher Schindler, in particular, has thrived since arriving in the summer
David Wagner is targeting players with no Premier League experience in order to create a fearlessness at Huddersfield. Tom Ince is the only member of their squad who has played at this level before.
'Everybody in England is speaking about experience and how important it is. Oh, we have no experience!' said Huddersfield manager Wagner after a dour draw at Burnley took both sides to nine points.
'I look at the flipside of the coin. Inexperience helps you. You are fearless, everything is exciting. This was exactly what our decision was. We said, let's take the fearless, very exciting players with no experience but hungry and greedy for what is in front of them.'
Christopher Schindler's stock rose as he kept Burnley's Chris Wood quiet in Saturday's draw
David Wagner says the lack of Premier League experience has helped, not hampered, his team
This was Huddersfield's fourth clean sheet in six games and German central defender Christopher Schindler's stock is rising with each passing week.
The 27-year-old kept Chris Wood quiet but compatriot and right back Chris Lowe admitted he didn't know much about Schindler when he joined for £1.8million last season.
'I knew his name and I knew he played at 1860 Munich, but that's it,' Lowe said.
'He had played twice in teams relegated from the second to the third division, so he didn't have the best time in Germany. But since joining us he's been amazing.
'I think he's maybe a bit surprised how well he's played in the first six games. He is at the minute our outstanding player. He's like a rock in defence.'
