Bolton Wanderers sign former Stoke, Wolves and QPR defensive midfielder Karl Henry on a free transfer

  • Henry confirmed the move on Twitter, saying: 'Can't wait to get stuck in!'

Bolton Wanderers have signed former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry until the end of the season.

The 34-year old free agent, also formerly of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Stoke City, had been training with West Bromwich Albion.

He confirmed the move on Twitter, saying: 'Very pleased to sign for Bolton and can't wait to get stuck in!'

Defensive midfielder Henry has made 535 appearances during his career which started at Stoke, where he played over 100 games.


He then joined hometown club Wolves, where he made 272 appearances, was made captain and helped them to promotion to the Premier League.

He left Molineux in 2013 and signed for QPR, playing 118 games, but had been unattached after leaving Loftus Road in the summer.
