The 36-year-old left the club earlier this summer to pen a one-year contract with Steve Bruce's Aston Villa after spending 22 years at Stamford Bridge in what was a wonderful, stellar, trophy-strewn career.

Terry finished his Chelsea career with several accolades including their most decorated player, having won five Premier Leagues, five FA Cups, three League Cups, one Champions League and a Europa League.

He is also their all-time top scoring defender and made the most appearances for the club.

And though his departure would have sunk in by now it was certainly a fitting tribute to Terry from his former team-mate.
