West Ham United have told the Premier League’s big six that they are fully in support of their campaign to have international TV cash based on final table positions.
It comes after board members from all 20 top-flight clubs met in London on Wednesday with a redistribution of overseas money the main item on the agenda.
Both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham want 35 per cent of TV money to be split by league placings instead of the current protocol of sharing it equally.

Fourteen clubs have to vote in favour for any change, and West Ham are among those on the side of the big six.
A source said: ‘We stand firm in sharing the big six’s desire to make a larger portion of international rights performance-related.’
The Premier League’s big six want a greater share of the next multi-billion pound contract, which will run between 2019 and 2022. Their argument is that the PL’s huge financial pull overseas is largely down to them rather the rest.
