Dele Alli picks FIFA 18 dream team as Harry Kane joins Cristiano Ronaldo up front... but there's no room for the rest of his Tottenham team-mates

  • Dele Alli created his FIFA 18 dream team as part of the game's 'Squad Battles'
  • The challenge allows players to face Alli's team which features his 99 card
  • Former Spurs player Luka Modric is included, as well as Kyle Walker
  • The 21-year-old selected Harry Kane to partner Cristiano Ronaldo up-front
  • But Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier and Danny Rose are all left on the bench

Dele Alli has selected his dream team using FIFA 18 Ultimate Team, but only Harry Kane and himself made the starting 11 from Tottenham.

The Spurs midfielder, who featured in both of England's final World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania and Slovenia, selected his dream team as part of the FIFA game's 'Squad Battles' which enables players to challenge Alli's team until October 15.

First of all, Alli selected current boss Mauricio Pochettino as his manager which comes as no surprise, operating a 4-2-2-2 formation.

Alli included many current and former Tottenham players in the squad, but also reduced some to the bench, including goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who was replaced by Manuel Neuer.

In his back-four, former team-mate Kyle Walker was given the nod, despite leaving for Manchester City during the summer, with Jerome Boateng and Real Madrid team-mates Sergio Ramos and Marcelo completing the defensive line.

The 21-year-old, who boasts a one-off rating of 99 in the 11, placed himself on the right side of a star-studded midfield which included former Spurs man Luka Modric and Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi on the opposite wing, with Neymar benched.

Alli was left with many choices to lead the line but Cristiano Ronaldo was a given for a spot and with Kane, who is also fresh from being shortlisted for the Ballon d'Or, proving too desirable to resist given his recent form.

While Kane was included, other Spurs players were snubbed, with Danny Rose and Eric Dier left to accompany Lloris on the bench.
