Sancho, who joined Borussia Dortmund in the summer, was not the only star on show as England's stars gathered to push a message about the positive impact of sport.

Angel Gomes and George McEachran of Manchester United and Chelsea respectively took part in the gathering at Newtown School.

They posed for a series of photos with the group of children who had been invited to the event, holding up a sign promoting sport in Great Britain.

They have won both of their opening games, the first inspired by Sancho as he set up one and scored two against Chile.

And then they stormed into a 3-0 lead against Mexico, although they did concede two goals late on to nearly gift their opponents a point.

The two victories mean the Young Lions have already confirmed a place in the last-16 at the World Cup.
