It will be a long road to recovery for Manchester City's crocked defender Benjamin Mendy, but every little victory will feel like a huge step towards full recovery.
City's first-choice left back Mendy is possibly out for the season after he sustained a ruptured cruciate ligament in only his fifth City appearance last month.
The France international looked frighteningly good during the start of the campaign and was starting to pay back the lofty £52million it cost to prise him away from Monaco this summer.

It's feared Mendy will be out for the season after the injury against Crystal Palace last month
But since the injury against Crystal Palace, Mendy has endeavoured to keep his fans up to date with his recovery through his social media channels.
The 23-year-old underwent surgery on the injury in Barcelona and City manager Pep Guardiola admitted the defender's absence is a big loss.
'We would miss him a lot – it would be a major setback,' Guardiola said. 'It's very frustrating for him.
'Like what happened last year with Ilkay Gundogan, I feel really sad. For the way we want to play, he is a unique player.'
The Frenchman will hope removing his stitches will be just one of a number of positives that will continue to keep his spirits high during his rehabilitation.
