Real Madrid will make a sensational summer move for Manchester United teenager Marcus Rashford if Florentino Perez fails to land No 1 target Harry Kane.
Spanish website Don Balon suggests Rashford has been identified as Real Madrid's 'Plan B' if Kane decides to reject interest from the Santiago Bernabeu.
Perez wants to add another star striker to his ranks at the end of the season after Real Madrid lost out in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid are keen on enticing Marcus Rashford to the Santiago Bernabeu next summer
Harry Kane has been identified as Real Madrid's No 1 summer target while Rashford is 'Plan B'
The Premier League could lose either Kane or Rashford to La Liga next year
Kane would be a ready-made option to lead Real Madrid's attack alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, while Rashford would be eased in due to his inexperience.
Rashford is unlikely to pine for a move away from Manchester as the England international is a boyhood fan of the Red Devils and has a contract until 2020.
United would also reject overtures for the lively attacker even if Gareth Bale was used as bait to land the 19-year-old.
The two giants do not have a good relationship when it comes to transfers after David de Gea's move to Real Madrid broke down in the closing stages of the 2015 summer transfer window.
Keylor Navas was supposed to move in the opposite direction but the required paperwork was not submitted before the strict deadline.
Real Madrid have also tried to lure De Gea back to the Spanish capital during the previous two summer windows but Jose Mourinho has managed to keep hold of his star keeper.
Kane has the chance to impress Real Madrid's top brass on Tuesday night when Tottenham face Ronaldo and Co in Spain.
Both sides are currently at the top of Group H with six points from their opening two Champions League games.
Real Madrid have previously tried to tempt David de Gea back to the Spanish capital
Manchester United have held a long-term interest in former Premier League star Gareth Bale
