The 24-year-old - who has been the top scorer in each of the last two Premier League seasons - is the subject of recent transfer talk linking him with Real Madrid.

Loyalty is rare in modern football, but Kane has suggested that he could follow in the footsteps of players like Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Spurs legend Ledley King by being a 'one-club man'.

However, Kane hinted that Spurs will have to keep improving in order to match his own ambitions.

'I'd love to be a one-club man,' he told The Mirror. 'It depends on how the club goes forward and managers et cetera, but I've said I want to stay here, as we're in a great place at the moment.

'The training centre is amazing, the new stadium is coming, the manager is fantastic and we've got a young team. So it's great.'

Asked if Spurs fans should be worried about reports linking their players with possible moves away, he replied: 'No, I don't think so.

'We're all very happy here and have signed long-term contracts. Rumours can be compliments as it shows we're doing good as a team but we don't take any notice of them, we've got a job to do here.'

Kane, who was born locally in Walthamstow, has been on the books at Tottenham since 2004.
