Arsenal get back to work following Everton victory as Arsene Wenger's men gear up for Carabao Cup clash with Norwich at The Emirates

  • Arsenal host Norwich in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday
  • The Gunners thrashed Everton 5-2 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon
  • Arsene Wenger put his players through their paces on Monday

Arsenal were back to their best as they thrashed Everton at Goodson Park on Sunday but Arsene Wenger's men have wasted no time dwelling on the performance.

The Gunners only arrived back in London on Sunday night after the 5-2 victory on Merseyside but were straight back to work on Monday morning ahead of Tuesday's Carabao Cup fourth round clash with Norwich.

The north London outfit host the Canaries at the Emirates in the only domestic competition Wenger is yet to win at the club.

The likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were missing from the session with Arsenal expected to field a weakened side with just one day's rest in-between fixtures.

Shkodran Mustafi, David Ospina, Danny Welbeck and Calum Chambers are still unavailable but there could be a return for Mathieu Debuchy who looked in good spirits as he trained with the first team on Monday.

Jack Wilshere is likely to be the focal point of the team after impressing during his 13 minute cameo against Everton.

Arsenal looked to be in for another tough away day when Wayne Rooney opened the scoring with a fine effort in the opening stages of the Premer League showdown.

However, they soon found their groove with goals from Nacho Monreal and the imperious Ozil putting them back in control.

Idrissa Gueye's foolish red card ended any hope of a comeback for the hosts as Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez went on to complete the rout.
