Liverpool legend Jamie Redknapp has revealed the moment he was pranked by Jack Whitehall... with the comedian texting Andy Murray from his phone!

The 'A League Of Their Own' pair are often joking around, but Redknapp turned solemn when recounting a tale of Whitehall being 'malicious' in his attempts to get a laugh.

Speaking on an episode of A League of Their Own, Redknapp opened up on the incident as the audience began to roar with laughter.

Setting the scene Redknapp explained how Whitehall had tricked him into handing over his phone in order to get into contact with a fellow guest on the show, Robbie ?Keane. 

'When I do them (joke messages) there’s a sense of fun - his are malicious,' Redknapp said.

'It isn’t funny… because I live near this guy - he lives on the same road as me,' he continued, before confirming the person to be tennis star Andy Murray when quizzed by host James Corden.

Whitehall and the audience then burst into laughter as Redknapp read out the message in question.

'Good luck tomorrow, wear some short shorts - I love your thighs,' Redknapp read. 

'There is a reason why this isn’t funny - I see his wife walking the dog everyday and she’s gonna think that I do love his thighs and he’s not come back to me,' Redknapp then added.
