  • A video appears to show the Manchester City starlet scoring incredible solo goal
  • He scored twice as England came from behind to beat Spain 5-2 in the final

A shimmy past the defender, fast feet to take it round the goalkeeper and then wrongfooting another before calmly slotting it into the bottom corner.

Sounds impressive? Indeed it is. But what's more so, it's come from a kid in an amateur park game.

And that's not the end of it. This eight-second YouTube video, published in 2008, purports that the kid in question is the hottest young prospect in English football - Phil Foden.

The Manchester City starlet has burst onto the public consciousness after starring in England Under 17's dramatic World Cup victory.

He scored twice as the Young Lions came from two-goals behind to beat Spain 5-2 in Saturday's final.

The 17-year-old has long been admired behind the scenes at the Premier League leaders and looks set for a big future in the game.

He may face a battle to make into the senior setup given the level of competition in Pep Guardiola's squad, but he is highly thought of by the Spaniard.

He said after the first-team's 3-2 over West Brom: 'It's so important for Manchester City that [Foden] is playing in a high level,' he said. 'He's played in a World Cup. England will be world champions in that age.

'When that guy will grow and play in a World Cup in future, he has lived that situation before and knows what he has to do.

'Big congratulations to the manager, all the staff and the players because for English football they need that. It is the step they need.

'It happened in Spain. Spain was always last 16, quarter finals...they arrived in the semi finals and since then they have won every time. That's why it is so important.'
