Tottenham issue lifetime bans to two supporters who threw cup of urine towards West Ham fans

Tottenham have banned two fans for life for throwing a cup of urine towards West Ham supporters in their Carabao Cup clash on Wednesday night.

A police probe was launched after a video emerged of a supporter urinating into a plastic cup and chucking it in the direction of the away end at Wembley.

And Tottenham have now moved swiftly by issuing lifetime bans to both supporters identified in the video from their 3-2 loss to West Ham.

The man was aiming for West Ham's away section at Wembley but most of the cup's contents appear to have landed on his fellow Spurs fans.

Tottenham were quick to condemn the fans after the video emerged on social media following the match with a spokesman branding the behaviour as 'completely unacceptable'.

Twitter user Richiekpuk posted: 'I'm a Spurs fan and I’m ashamed of this guy. I hope whoever it hit finds him! while fan account White Hart Kane tweeted: 'Hope that who thought throwing a cup of his at people last night is banned for life. Don't need scum fans like that.'

Spurs sacrificed a two-goal lead as West Ham launched a stunning second-half comeback to book their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Mauricio Pochettino's side went two up through goals from Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli before West Ham hit back through an Andre Ayew brace and Angelo Ogbonna.
