JOE BERNSTEIN AT THE BET365 STADIUM: Stoke and Leicester played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Vicente Iborra put the visitors ahead in the 33rd minute after firing home from close range after latching onto a loose ball following a corner. However, Leicester's lead didn't last long as Xherdan Shaqiri levelled the scoring just six minutes later with a fine left-footed finish.

Riyad Mahrez restored Leicester's lead in the 60th minute after a fierce left-footed finish, which squirmed under Jack Butland. But they were pegged back once again, this time through a powerful header from substitute Peter Crouch in the 73rd minute.

FULL-TIME: Stoke 2-2 Leicester City

Into the final 30 seconds and Stoke have a corner and a last chance to grab what would be a precious winning goal.

Shaqiri jogs across to swing it in. Crouch gets his head on it and Schmeichel reacts really well to punch it clear. Good save.

And the whistle soon follows. For the third straight season, it ends 2-2 in this fixture! And it's been every bit as entertaining as that scoreline suggest. A really watchable game.

14:23
90+3min - Stoke free-kick cleared

A last chance perhaps for Stoke to swing the ball into the box as they win a free-kick just inside the Leicester half. Shaqiri to take...

Leicester do well to clear their lines and Vardy tries to break away down the left. Joe Allen does really well to stop him.

14:20
90min - Four minutes added
14:18
88min - Iheanacho goal ruled out

Leicester have the ball in the net through Kelechi Iheanacho but he is clearly offside as the ball breaks through to him.

14:16
86min - Stoke sub

Wes Morgan and Mame Biram Diouf tussling for the ball inside the Leicester box after Peter Crouch had won a flick-on. Morgan used his strength to win the duel.

A second swap for Stoke, with Diouf coming off and Saido Berahino replacing him.

14:10
80min - Leicester sub

Another change for Leicester and Demarai Gray comes off after a really impressive performance. Marc Albrighton takes his place.

14:08
78min - Vardy so close

Back down the other end and Jamie Vardy is within inches of restoring Leicester's lead. More excellent work in the lead-up by Gray, who must have caught Gareth Southgate's eye today, to set him up and Vardy turned inside his marker before firing wide of the post. Only a foot or so wide.

14:03
GOAL! Stoke City 2 (Peter Crouch 73) Leicester 2

Boom! He's made a whole career out of goals like that and Peter Crouch comes to the rescue of Stoke once again.

The Shaqiri corner was delivered to the near post and there was Crouch, rising much, much higher than anyone else to power home a header that Schmeichel didn't see let alone try and save. Thumping goal.

All to play for once again. Crouch, by the way, had only been on three minutes.

14:02
73min - Zouma shot saved

Up the other end and Kurt Zouma on a foray forward for Stoke. He gets the ball just outside the box, decides to shoot and his low shot is dealt with by Schmeichel.

14:02
72min - King off target

Leicester would naturally feel far better with a third goal and King takes aim on the volley from the edge of the area. Not a clean strike and wide.

13:58
69min - Crouch comes on

Time for the first Stoke switch as Peter Crouch comes on for Ramadan Sobhi.

13:55
66min - Iborra replaced by King

And it will be the end of Iborra's afternoon as Andy King comes on for the injured Spaniard.

13:54
64min - Delay as Iborra injured

Concern for Leicester just a couple of minutes after the goal as Vicente Iborra is floored and in need of treatment. He hobbles off to the touchline.

13:50
GOAL! Stoke City 1 Leicester City 2 (Riyad Mahrez 61)

Moments after almost falling behind at the other end, Leicester have seized the initiative and it's thanks to the brilliant, silky skills of Riyad Mahrez.

He chased the ball down on the right after Ndidi played it forward, brushed off Erik Pieters and his pace carried him into the box. From there, he sized up a shot and with Jack Butland unsighted, he fired home with aplomb.

Leicester back in front!

13:49
60min - Shawcross header saved

Great chance for Stoke! And a superb save by Kasper Schmeichel!

The cross came in from the left and there was Ryan Shawcross to power a header towards goal. But Schmeichel dives to his right and saved it one-handed.

13:48
58min - Leicester sub

Time for the first change of the afternoon as Leicester's Shinji Okazaki is replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho. Okazaki still struggling with the knock he collected earlier.

13:43
53min - Mahrez across goal and wide

End-to-end stuff at the start of this half and Leicester come again as Gray causes problems down the left. He plays the ball inside and Mahrez has the chance to shoot. It's a swerving shot but flies wide of the far post.

13:41
52min - Attendance is in

Confirmation of the attendance at the Bet365: 29,602 including 2,311 Leicester fans.

13:39
49min - Mahrez shot from range

Leicester with their first chance of the half as Riyad Mahrez drifts into the middle and shoots from 25 yards. Butland takes no chances and pushes it over the top.

13:37
48min - Allen shot saved

Stoke straight back on the attack as we begin the second-half and Joe Allen's low shot is clutched by Schmeichel.

13:35
SECOND-HALF: Leicester get us restarted
13:19
HALF-TIME: Stoke 1-1 Leicester

The first-half started slowly but burst into life and it's deservedly honours even at the break.

Leicester took the lead through Vicente Iborra's first for the club, a shot hammered home from a corner on 33 minutes.

But their lead only lasted six minutes, with Xherdan Shaqiri coolly equalising for Stoke after being played through by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

So all to play for in the second-half.

13:15
45min - Four minutes added time
13:13
43min - Shaqiri close again

Stoke coming forward again and Leicester allow Shaqiri to shoot once more. His low drive from the edge of the box has to be pushed around the post by Schmeichel.

13:09
GOAL! Stoke City 1 (Xherdan Shaqiri 39) Leicester City 1

Oh, how football can change! Leicester were completely on top but it's Stoke who have now drawn level. A lovely, composed finish by Shaqiri after Choupo-Moting had slipped him clear down the right with a nice through pass.

Nice assist, nice finish by the Stoke man and he celebrates with gusto in front of the home fans.

13:08
38min - Iborra heads over

The Foxes totally dominant at the moment. Gray takes another corner and sees the ball returned. He crosses really well at the second time of asking and in comes Iborra with a bullet header that just clears the crossbar. Stoke really rocking at the moment.

13:07
37min - Leicester close to a second

It's almost a second for Leicester and nearly a carbon copy of the first. Demarai Gray delivers a corner from the other side, it's knocked back at the back post and Iborra can't quite turn it home.

And from another attack, more good work by Gray down the left, a fine cross to Okazaki, whose low header is somehow turned over the top by Jack Butland. Great save.

13:03
GOAL! Stoke 0-1 Leicester (Vicente Iborra 33)

We have a breakthrough goal and it's come for Leicester City.

From a corner swung in by Riyad Mahrez, Harry Maguire got in front of his man to bring it down and Vicente Iborra was there to slam the ball home from close range.

Leicester have carried the greater threat going forward and now Claude Puel's team have their reward.

That is Iborra's first goal in Leicester colours and is their fifth from corners this season - more than any other Premier League team.

13:00
31min - Leicester corner

The game opening up a little now as Mahrez takes Leicester forward and, as nobody come out to tackle him, is allowed to run 50 yards into the Stoke box and win a corner.

He delivers but, once again, Stoke's tall defenders clear their lines.

12:59
29min - Schmeichel denies Choupo-Moting

Stoke's brightest moment as they open Leicester up for the first time. It's a lovely through pass by Ramadan Sobhi and Choupo-Moting is able to run into a pocket of space on the edge of the Leicester box. He works space to shoot but Schmeichel gets down low and saves.

12:53
23min - We have a change of referee!

It now looks like referee Robert Madley has picked up an injury, strained something and he hobbles off. Fourth official Jon Moss gets himself ready on the bench.

They swap cards and whistles and Madley looks set to be wielding the numbers board for the remainder of the contest.

Laurie Whitwell at the Bet365 Stadium: ‘You’re not fit to referee,’ hurled at Bobby Madley from Leicester fans as the official is forced off injured. Harsh, but accurate. Demarai Gray has been the brightest spark of a rather sedate first quarter, creating two good chances for Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki.

Referee Bobby Madley has gone off injured
12:51
21min - Okazaki can't direct the ball on target

Leicester come again and more work from Gray works space to cross to the back post. Shinji Okazaki had managed to stay onside, dashed in, but couldn't make the contact to steer it home. And now the Leicester man looks like he's strained his leg in the process.

12:49
20min - Mahrez free-kick is poor

More good work by Demarai Gray, who is trying to make the most of a run in the Leicester side. He cuts inside from the left and is fouled by Kurt Zouma and Mame Diouf, giving Leicester a free-kick right on the edge of the box.

Gray and Riyad Mahrez stand over it, the Algerian takes and it's straight into the wall.

12:46
PICTURE: England manager Gareth Southgate in the stands
12:44
14min - Shaqiri shoots wide

The first shot of the game for Stoke and the move came from a Vicente Iborra pass that was misplaced in the centre of the park. Eventually, Shaqiri worked space to shoot from the edge of the box but it was always going wide and Kasper Schmeichel wasn't unduly concerned.

12:41
11min - Vardy threatening

A much needed injection of pace as Demarai Gray gets forward down the left-hand side and crosses low, where Jamie Vardy was a fraction away from turning it into the net. Stoke keeper Jack Butland and Kevin Wimmer do enough to snuff out the England forward.

12:38
8min - Stoke free-kick wasted

Stoke with their first chance to launch the ball into the box as Wilfried Ndidi concedes a free-kick wide on the left. Xherdan Shaqiri crosses but it's far too deep and the danger literally flashes across the box.

12:35
5min - Vardy into the game

Jamie Vardy given the chance to stretch his legs for the first time this afternoon as the in-form striker is found by Riyad Mahrez down the right. Vardy wins the game's first corner.

Mahrez delivers but Diouf rises highest and clears for Stoke.

12:33
3min - Early possession for Leicester

Leicester getting plenty of the ball in the opening stages, ensuring everyone gets an early feel for it. Claude Puel standing cross-armed on the sidelines. He looks quite cold to be honest.

12:30
KICK-OFF: Stoke to get us underway at the Bet365 Stadium

Off and running now in the first Premier League fixture of the weekend.

12:27
Minute's silence

We will have a minute's silence for Remembrance Sunday shortly but first we have a piper playing as the Somme football is carried out to the middle by a man in First World War military dress.

12:24
The two teams are taking the field

Here we go then... it's a bright but chilly afternoon in the Potteries as Stoke City and Leicester City make their way out at the Bet365 Stadium.

A military theme today as we approach Remembrance Sunday with members of our Armed Forces leading the players out.

Among the attractions on display is one of the footballs used at The Somme during the First World War, which is in a glass case.

Opta big match stats - Part Two

Stoke haven't managed back-to-back wins in the Premier League since January, with the first of their two wins back then coming against Watford.

As Saints boss last season, Claude Puel won four of his final seven away games in the Premier League (D1 L2), with those two defeats coming against the final top two (Chelsea and Tottenham).

Mame Biram Diouf has scored in three of his last four Premier League games (three goals) – as many as in his previous 52 appearances in the competition.

Jamie Vardy has found the net in three of his last four Premier League appearances against Stoke; scoring three goals including the equaliser in the 2-2 draw in September 2015.

Vardy has netted six goals in his 10 league appearances this season – four more than he had at this stage in 2016-17. He's just two goals shy of becoming the first player to score 50 Premier League goals for Leicester City.

Riyad Mahrez and Vardy have combined for a goal (one player assisting for the other) just five times in the Premier League since they won the title. In the title-winning campaign of 2015-16, they combined for eight goals.

Hatem Ben Arfa could be set for a return to the Premier League, with Leicester seemingly interested in signing the winger in January.

The former Newcastle man has fallen out of favour at PSG and new Foxes boss Claude Puel is thought to be ready to make an approach.

The pair have previously worked together at Nice two seasons ago and Puel is confident of the winger's ability.

Opta big match stats - Part One

Stoke have never beaten Leicester at home in the Premier League in three attempts (D2 L1); the Potters' last home league win against them came in March 2007, a 4-2 victory in the Championship.

The Foxes' only defeat in six Premier League games against Stoke came in January 2015 at the King Power, losing 1-0 - they've won three and drawn two of the other six games.

Leicester have come from two goals down to draw 2-2 in each of their last two Premier League visits to the bet365 Stadium, one of only seven instances of a team coming from two or more goals behind to draw or win on two separate occasions away from home at a single club.

These two sides have the third (Leicester – 41 per cent) and second (Stoke – 37.8 per cent) lowest average possession figures in the Premier League this season; only WBA (35.3 per cent) have averaged lower.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has admitted he has found it difficult to prepare for Leicester's visit on Saturday with new manager Claude Puel.

Stoke halted a run of poor results - winning just one of seven league games - with a victory at Watford last weekend and are hopeful of winning consecutive Premier League games for the first time this season.

Last weekend's victory saw Hughes' side climb three points clear of the relegation zone to 14th.

Kieran Gill: Gareth Southgate will be at Stoke versus Leicester on Saturday to take a last look at England goalkeeper Jack Butland and defender Harry Maguire ahead of the international break.

Both 2018 World Cup hopefuls have been included in the squad for the friendly games against Germany and Brazil at Wembley.

Butland, 24, is competing with No 1 Joe Hart, who has had his problems with West Ham this season but put in a fine performance at Crystal Palace last week.

The Premier League weekend starts here!

Here we go again. Another packed weekend of Premier League excitement and it all begins at the Bet365 Stadium where Stoke City will be playing Leicester City.

The new Claude Puel era at Leicester got underway successfully with a 2-0 win over Everton last Sunday and the Frenchman will want to see more of the same as they continue their climb away from the relegation zone.

Stoke, meanwhile, are placed just three points above the drop zone and will be looking for three points of their own to breathe a little easier.

The match kicks off at 12.30pm and we have plenty of build-up to come, including confirmation of the two team line-ups in around 20 minutes' time.

The weekend of Premier League action begins at the Bet 365 Stadium as Stoke City take on Leicester City.

The Foxes made a winning start to life under new manager Claude Puel with a 2-0 home win over Everton last Sunday and will hope to make it two from two as they climb away from the relegation zone.

Stoke enter the fixture just three points above the drop zone and will be looking for home gains to extend that cushion.

ADAM SHERGOLD will have all the action as it unfolds. Kick-off is at 12.30pm.
